P.o.v. of Sarah
Riyan was back with a bad news.
Something we all were dreading.'So it was true.',Amisha almost wailed.
There was no stopping her.
We tried convincing her but she wasn't ready to listen.'We shouldn't let her go Riyan.',I spoke softly.
' Amisha let's do it the right way. Okay? Just go and tell them the whole thing and then if they don't let you go we'll help you.',Riyan said while glancing at me meaningfully.
She thought for some while and calmed down.
'Okay then. I'll sleep with Sarah in her room. ',Amisha kept her head low and her voice sounded defeated.
We moved to my room quietly and Riyan left.
I had not slept the whole night. I was way too worried about my parents meeting Riyan's.
I didn't realise when I fell asleep and when I woke up an hour later,
Amisha was gone.
I screamed.Oh! No! No! No!
This was a nightmare.
I wailed in silence.
Riyan met me at the back of the hotel.
There wasn't much time left before people realised that the bride was missing.'Where do we start?',Riyan asked without wasting any time.
I racked my brains as to where she could be.
' She'll try to hide not run away because she'll want to be found. She loves Amish way too much.'
'Right but that makes it more difficult for us. So no airport, bus depots or railways. She's definitely hid herself in some dingy lodge.'
'No. Riyan she will never go in musty hotels. She hates them. Riyan when we were small and she fought with her parents, she'll often go do something she was scared of, like dive from a higher height she was always scared of. Once she went to sky dive just because she couldn't achieve first rank. She believes that she was using her negative feelings as a propeller towards something she wanted but feared.'
Riyan nodded as if understanding things beyond what I said.
' Let's go.'
'But how do we convince her.'
'Leave that to me.'
We sat in a taxi and Riyan asked driver to take us somewhere.
He looked tensed so I held back my curiosity.
As soon as we got down, I realised we were at the right place.
I could see we were at a vast, plain cliff. People were flying off the cliff using the paragliders.
Riyan had brought us to adventure sports arena.Amisha was sure to be here.
We screened around the area for her and saw someone with similar hairstyles, her back to us, signing off a contract.
' It's her.', Riyan and I said together.
I ran ahead to stop her but Riyan got to me first.
'Let her be.',Riyan said holding me at my wrists, his fingers causing those familiar waves in my body.'Yes, it'll be better. We should let ger cool down.'
Riyan nodded.
We waited for her at the other end.
She was enjoying the ride anyone could say, her hairs flying looking like they belonged to someone who couldn't be tamed.
When she was free from all the harness and safett equipments, she walked to us as if she already knew we were there waiting for her.
'Hello.', she was as nonchalant as if she wasn't a bride who had run away.
'What the hell Amisha.',I was flabbergasted.
Behind us Amish walked towards us and we stared at each other anticipating some kind of explanations.
'Did you call him?', I quietly nudged Riyan.
He shook his head.'I did.', Amisha said.
'What is going on?',Riyan interrupted.
'I thought about what you both said. It is cowardly to run so I came here to cool off and called Amish as soon as I was here. I needed clarifications.
' That money wasn't towards any dowry., She spoke assured as if she knew she was wrong.
'So I thought why not go for paragliding now that I was here. I suggest you too give it a shot.' ,she spoke when both of us stood waiting.
We stood flabbergasted. No exaggeration.
'It was a donation that we were making to include the poor in our celebrations. I have contributed same amount towards a charity organization. So it's all good. Amisha let's go all of them are waiting.',Amish was laughing but spoke hurriedly.
They walked off.
I shook off the anger that was subtly building up inside me.'So made for each other, both of them. It is so easy for them.',I commented.
Riyan stood expression less. He was too stunned to speak .
But atleast all was good.
The marriage will be happening and everything will be alright.'Riyan we need to go. The Nikah is about to happen. Only we will be missing it.', I spoke hurriedly.
'Let's.',he said simply.
'what?',I asked
'Let's miss it.'
'what are you saying?'
He took my hand and started walking towards the cliff. We were going for paragliding.
Okay then.
