P.o.v.Riyan

We were walking back to hotel, my face cover down now.

Sarah looked closely at our entwined fingers at intervals of few seconds.
She sometimes peeked at my face too.

I felt astonished every time she looked my way.
Was this totally beautiful girl made for me?

She was so awesome that I couldn't have my eyes off her.

Nobody could compare.

'Do you love me?', I spoke unable to hold in anymore.
I needed to know.
Right then.

She stumbled over a stone and stayed down as if shocked.

I picked her up and held her chin up.

She was so fierce usually.

I didn't expect her yo be shy.
Did I embarrass her? I questioned myself.
Such an idiot I was.

She finally met my gaze but stayed mum.

'You don't need to answer.',I reassured her.

She looked a little white. I put my hand on her neck and checked her pulse.
She jerked away at my touch and to say it hurt me was an understatement.

I was miserable in a  second. Was this a rejection. I hardly was able to hide my reaction.

She sensed it anyways and took my hand again.

I felt relieved. Then it wasn't an absolute rejection. Maybe there was a chance.

When we started walking, I spoke slowly, ' There's no rush. Don't feel burdened. But you must know how I feel.'
We had reached the hotel by then.

She held her breath and I was scared for her precious life.
'Breathe.',I commanded.

She took a deliberate breath.

'Say what you were saying.',she said calmly.

'I love you.'

She fainted. She had stopped breathing again that idiotic girl.

Was it shock, anger or health problems my curiosity had to wait.

I picked her up in my arms and rushed to the hotel lobby, my eyes wandering around for a familiar face.

Her dad was in the lobby talking to chef.
Watching me walk with his daughter in my arms wasn't apparently his cup of tea.
He looked curious first, angry in the next second , finally registering the reality.

He rushed to me and took charge of Sarah from my hand.
I felt reluctant and held her fingers while helping her dad lay her on the nearest sofa.

'Call a doctor please.',I requested the attendant on the desk.
I splashed a few drops of water on her face and she moved drowsily.

Maybe she's just shocked. I hoped heavily.

By the time doctor arrived Amisha, Amish, her mother and twenty five other people had gathered around her.

She came around after doctor injected something.
The needle pierced her skin and she complained loudly in her state of unconsciousness.
My heart ached bad.

' It's just shock.', doctor concluded and all of took breathes that we had bern holding.

Finally she opened her eyes and turned red as if embarrassed as if she heard everything.

'What happened?',her dad questioned.

She looked at me automatically and all eyes turned on me.
His dad like looked at me suspiciously .

This was going to be tough.

I was preparing an explanation that was not going to get me murdered by my prospective father in law when she spoke.

' I was being chased by thugs. He saved me.',She said pointing at me.

My future father in law went from being suspicious to grateful in less than ten seconds.

He took my hands and thanked me.
Amisha patted my back and everyone started dispersing.
Everything was well I guess.
Barely saved.

Amisha took Sarah to her room and away from my eyes.

I wanted to groan and complain like a kid but held myself back.

She needed to rest and relieve her stress.
That probably I gave her. I facepalmed.
