Okay, Dawn. Kaya mo 'to! It's just for today.. just for the whole afternoon. Okay, deep breaths. Dawn assured herself as she was heading to the shop.

"Hello, madame. How may I assist you today?" The staff greeted.

"Hi, we made an appointment under the name Montenegro? Richard Montenegro?" She told the staff.

"Ah! Yes, sir Richard arrived na po! Ikaw po pala ang bride?" The staff asked with a big grin on her face while she signaled Dawn to follow her.

Dawn was quick to deny but the staff cut her off, "Umm actually-"

"No wonder iba ang glow ng groom! Super pretty naman pala ng bride!"

"Hind-"

"Feeling ko talaga, madame, super cute ng magiging anak niyo! Ay hindi pala feeling, sure na sure ako!" The staff went on and on and Dawn didn't bothered to correct her anymore. She was anxious about this day and didn't had the energy to face yet another awkward situation so she just let the staff be.

"Sorry, ma'am, ang daldal ko talaga!" The staff said shyly and glanced at Dawn as they were climbing there way up the room exclusive for cake tasting. Dawn just gave her a reassuring smile. Hindi din naman kasi siya makasingit, sayang lang energy niya.

"We're here!" The staff said and opened the sliding glass door.

"Thank you.... Chichi!" Dawn said as she read the staff's name plate.

Chichi delightfully smiled at her, "Welcome po! If you need anything you can ring po the buzzer. Naibigay po yun kay sir so if ever may questions kayo or nakapili na po kayo just ring  it and may aakyat po na staff to assist you."

"Will do! Thank you again!"

"You're welcome, ma'am! Have fun with future hubby!!" Chichi exclaimed and laughed and Dawn politely laughed as well kahit na deep down gusto nya ng awayin ang staff sa pagiging assumera nito.

Dawn entered the room and there was Richard holding a small plate and a fork.

"Oh, Dawn! Andito ka na pala!" He said with the biggest smile in his face. Indeed, he was really happy to see her show up. He stood up at nakipag-beso kay Dawn.

"Yes, hi! Sorry to keep you waiting. Kanina ka pa ba?" She asked as she sat next to him on the couch. The couch is not that big but it's not that small either. Two people can fit in it but it doesn't give enough space for the other person to be seated far enough from the other.

Dawn angled her body towards him making their knees touched. He didn't seem to mind or even noticed at all. But it had a different effect on her.

"I like the marble flavored one! But Monica likes ube." Richard stated.

"Jusko, Monica never really changed! Kahit noon pa man, she always liked ube!" She pointed out and laughed. Richard laughed as well, amused on the fact that her fiance has long been an ube fan.

"So what do you think, should we go for ube nalang?"

"But you like marble, right? Parang Monica ka din, you always loved that flavor eh." And Dawn was caught offguard by what came out from her mouth. She acted like it wasn't bothering here and attempted looking at him in the eye. Dawn thought Monica already decided for everything. Sure, making his bride happy is one thing but isn't this his wedding as well? Hay, naku Goma.. hindi ka pa rin nagbago.

"Yeah, but she likes ube.." He said.

"What about mag double flavor nalang kayo? That's a thing right?"

"Nah, baka mag suffer lang yung flavor ng cake. I think okay na ako sa ube." He placed the plate and fork he was holding on the table and picked up a new one. "Here try it! Masarap naman siya." Richard sliced a chunk from the sample ube cake and gave it to Dawn.

He is not wrong, Dawn thought. But she still think it's not fair. She knows it's just a freaking cake but she knows Richard, he can and will sacrifice anything if it means it will make his love ones happy.

"I don't think Monica will like the texture.." She lied. Monica will marry this cake if she could. Ganon ka-sarap! But Dawn thought if she agrees, he would end up settling on something he doesn't even like.

"You think?" He asked and looks at the slice of cake on the plate he's holding as if he's examining it. "She did told me to choose whichever I find the best.."

"Oh, siya naman na mismo nag sabi eh." Dawn beamed.

"Okay, I think I'd go for marble nalang? Since people in general like marble noh?"

Dawn nodded, "I think so too. Also, you should pick marble since that's what you truly like as well!" Thank God, he's finally giving in. Or so she thought.

"Nah. I think I'll stick to the ube nalang siguro. Sabi nga nila happy wife, happy life!" He said and chuckled.

Dawn wanted to argue with him, but what's the point? For what? It's not as if she had anything to do with this. This is his wedding, not theirs. So, Dawn silently resigned. The way she always does.

She smiled and said, "Okay, mukhang di na talaga kita ma co-convince." and softly chuckled.

Richard smiled back, "Yeah, I want this wedding to be perfect for her."

His eyes.. His eyes sparkled. Dawn thought. He really loves her.. What a lucky gal you are, Monica.

"You really love her don't you?" She stated. Richard looked at her and smiled.

"Oo eh!" He replied with a satisfied grin in his face while looking at the piece of cake.

"I'm really happy for the both of you, Gomz." She said and looked away.

"Thanks, Dawn. That's means a lot to me."

"So you better not let her slip away ha! Lagot ka sa 'kin talaga, sinasabi ko sa 'yo Goma, umayos ka!" She playfully threatened him and laughed, which made him laugh as well.

He smiled shyly and said, "Hindi na." as he looked at the plate in his hand.

Richard settled for the ube-flavored cake and told the shop's personnel about his choice. They discussed further regarding the shape and the other important details the shop needed. After everything got settled Richard invited Dawn for coffee in which she gladly obliged.

The both of them were seated beside the window. It was raining outside. No one was talking. They were both looking outside, watching the water droplets race on the window.

"So, Dawn.. How are you? It's been a long while. What's new in you?" He asked and took a sip on his coffee.

Dawn looked at his eyes, searching for something she doesn't even know what but ironically failed at what she was trying to find. "I'm okay. Never been better!" She said smiling. "I have achieved all of my dreams, almost got everything I want. There is nothing, I think, I could ever ask for." As she said that, she's not sure why it felt like she was masking something because she genuinely believes she's got everything she ever wanted.

Hmm.. That's strange.

"How about you?" She also asked in return.

"Same here. I am happy." He said and smiled at her.

"I'm really happy to hear that."

He bowed down his head, tila ba parang may gusto siyang sabihin pero hindi niya alam kung paano. He looked at Dawn, she was looking outside the window again. She is still breathtakingly beautiful. He thought. Has she forgiven me? "Dawn.."

"Hmm?" She looked at him.

"I'm sorry." He finally said.
