-17. Friendship forever.

There are group of friends sitting in the cafe. They are friends from college and now some of them are working together.

Jay(J):what the hell..? Yehan chal kya raha hai guys..? Please.
Veer(V):mujhe kyu bol raha hai ise bolna.
Bani(B):ha. Sab mujhe hi bolo.
V:bani please yaar. Ab mazak ko mazak ki tarah lo. Har waqt me explanation nai de sakta.
B;ab mazak mazak k tarah rahega tho me samju na... mazak mazak me mera mazak ban jata hai aur mujhe samj bhi nak ata..
V:tho tum samjdar bano. Its not my fault! (He turned away)
B:ok. Meri hi galti hai. Me hi samjti nai hu. Fine.(she took her hand bag and left)
Meera(M): bani.. bani..ruk.. veer..? Wo sach me jarahi hai.
V:yaar meera ab me ne kya kiya hai yaar. Tapish bhai aap hi samjou.
T:lekin veer tu aise mazak kya kardiya ki ye naagin bani ghumrai hai...?
J:ise mat pucho tapish bhai. Bani kab se ise bath karne k liye iske piche piche arai hai.. aur ye hai ki use ignore karraha hai. Aur tho boldiya ki she is irritating him.
T:aur..?
M:aur kya madam ise ignore karne lagi. Phir the same thing. Ab ye use masti kar rahata aur wo...
J:lekin bhai..
T:tu chup kar.. apne dost ko defend mat kar.
M:tapish...!(a glare)
T:ab chodo. Kisi ko bhi inke beech me padne ki zaroorat nai hai. Meera tum bhi. Let them solve. Waise bhi bani bohit mature hai. Iski tara nai. (A smak on veer's head)
V:ouch..😖 bhai...!!
M:lekin wo tho chali gayi.
V:hmm.
T:it's up to you. Ab waise time tho ho gaya hai. Meera chalo. Hum yehan ake bohit der hogayi hai. Waise bhi time hogaya hai. I'll drop you. Aur tu.. ghar chale ja na. Apne. Ghar.
V:hm. Waise bhi wo meri bath nai sunegi ab. Me ghar chalta hu.
J:teek hai then. Bye guys.

Veer was sitting in his bed room remembering the last day when bani had come to see him. The way they spent the whole day watching movie and gossiping.
V:chal veer puttar. Call tho kar use. Warna is baath pe bhi ghurayegi.(he spoke to himself and dialed her number. And as expected she didn't answer) umm.. message kar leta hu.

Bani runs out to see veer where he was standing with his smirk.
B:kya..? Is waqt kya karrahe ho yehan pe.
V:I think khada hu😁
B:ha tho khade raho.
But veer pulled her back holding her wrist. Which made her collide on his hard chest. And both were embarrassed and shared a small eye lock. Soon bani freed herself and composed.
B:kya hai,(looking here and there)
V:ice cream khane chale..?
B:veer no. Please aaj mera mood nai hai. Aur tum jou yehan se please.!
V:mood teek karne hi tho aya hu sweetheart.
B:veer.
V:bani...!! Deko itni badi bath nai hai ki tum aise gussa ho. Me manta hu mazak zyada hogaya par tum mazak ko mazak samjo na. Kyu itna bada bakheda khada karrai ho.?
B:veer agar tum mere place pe hote tho ye nai bolte!
V:ab chalo na please. Me tume aise nai deksakta tum jaanti ho na is baath ko.
B:veer sach batou kya tum sachne mazak karrahe the..? Ya phir..? Agar hai tho me tume kabi tang nai karungi. I will never ever cross your way. Lekin sach bolna.
V:ye kahan se kaha jaraha hai sweetheart ...? OK galti hai. Me ne mazak ko thoda... nai bohot zyada hi kardi. Lekin please ause bath mat karo. Mujhe chodke jaane ki tho socho bhi mat.
B:veer🥺
Veer pulled her in a bone crashing hug. And bani too reciprocated. The hug was long. Was the peace. The safest place for both. The feeling of "sukoon" is just unexplainable.
Still staying in a hug
V:sweetheart please kabhi phirse ye mat kehena ki tum mujhe chodke jaoyge. Tum chaho me tho ye mazak karna chod du. Aur tum ye bhi jaanti ho ki me tumse kitna pyaar karta hu.(just then veer registered what he said and broke the hug and was embarrassed, he was looking here and there but not at bani.)
B:(chukled) tum mazak karana band karoge tho mujhe entertain kon karega..? Ek louta joker hai mera.. wo bhi muft ka.. aise thodi na.
V:tho me tumare liye joker hu..?
B:bilkul. Ha😚
V:joker ha..? Joker.. ab bata hu..(he satires tickling her and she was laughing her heart)
B:veer...hahaaaahaa🤣😂 chodo... please.. haahaaa..please.. veer... (while laughing she fell on his shoulders)
V:waise me joker hu. Par..
B:sirf mera.(she looked in his eyes)
V:bani..?
B:kya hua veer.(she came out from his hold listening her name. The name was only said when he was serious about something)
V:tumne suna na me ne kya kaha..?
B:hm.
V:tho..?
B:tho kuch nai. Chale .?
V:kahan..???🙄
B:arrey ice cream khilane aye the na..?
Veer smiled and they left for ice cream parlour near by which was walkable distance.

They reached the ice cream parlour. Bani had stood leaning against the grill near by enjoying the night view. Veer came back with 2 scoops, her favourite flavour- Chocolate flavour.
B:arrey tume tho chocolate bilkul pasand nai hai. Tho.
V:bas kuch naya try karne ka man tha. Tho..
They stood beside each other relishing the ice cream. It was a complete silence between them.
After some time bani finally spoke up.
B;did you mean that..?
V:nai bani. Me seriously mazak hi karaha tha..
Bani turned to him and wiped off the ice cream on his lower lip very gently.
B:wo nai. Abi jo tumne kaha..? Ab mat bolna ki ye bhi mazak tha.😏
Veer her her hand/wrist which was near his lips.
V:meri taraf deko. Kya tume lagta hai wo bas mazak tha..?
B:lekin veer..
V:pyaar ka sahi definition mujhe pata nai hai sweetheart. Kyu ki mujhe kabi kisi se pyaar hua hi nai. Lekin tum mere liye matter karti ho. Matter se bhi zyada maine rakti ho. (Bani took her hand back and both stood beside each other looking at their front)

(Imagine it was night)

Veer continues.) Me tumare aanko me nami nai dek sakta. Ha kabi kabi uski waja bhi me hi hota hu. Lekin koi aur tumare anko me aasu laye...mujhe bardash nai hota. Agar tum ise pyaar kahogi tho ha. Me tumse pyaar karta hu. Me hamesha tumare sath rehena chata. Sab se door. Bas hum dono. Agar tum ise pyaar keheti ho. Tho ha me tumse pyaar karta hu. Par kya tum..?
B:veer frankly speaking mujhe pata nai ki kya kahu. Para ha mujhe bhi tumare saath rehene ka man karta hai.(she looked at him) Veer..! (she kept her left hand on his shoulder) hum college time se saath me hai. Itne saalo se. Tho shayad ye adat hai. Pyaar nai. Lekin I genuinely wanna give it a chance. Give us a chance.
V:thank you(he placed his left palm on hers and gave a understanding smile)

Next day at the same time as it was a regular routine for all these friends to meet up at the cafe. And according to that it was the turn to veer, bani and Jay to show up with Tapish and Meera at thier work place today. As yesterday it was meera and tapish who visited JaVAni.
J:good news....! Inki patch up hogayi hai...
T: isme konsi nayi baath hai..? Inka tho roz ka hi hai. Lekin ye hua kaise..? Aur kab..?
M:aur kya.. ek choti si ice cream ne kaam kardiya. Hai na😉
V:bani..?
B:nai me ne nai..
M:arrey mujhe pata hai. And if you guys forgot. Me bhi same area me reheti hu.😉 but sorry ha. Mujhe apki bato ko sunne me koi interest nai tha. Lekin kya karu mere kaan bohot sharp hai😉
T:aise kya bate kiya inhone ?
M: arrey..
B:kuch nai
J:hmm...??😏
B:areey aplog jaou na. Kuch le k aou.
M;ha ha.. jaou tho.
Namaste the guys left. It was just meera and bani there.
M:mene kuch nai suna. Bas tang keechrahi thi. Lekin me ne deka zaroor.
B:meera..!
M:it's ok.
B:meera. Pyaar lya hota hai..?
M:bani..?
Bani noded and meera quickly understood the topic.
M:pyaar ka tho mujhe bhi pata nai hai bani. Lekin pyaar me dosti ho na ho. Wo unlogon ke upar depend karta hai. Lekin dosti me pyaar zaroor hota hai. Aur wo sirf dosti wala pyaar hai ya pyaar wala dosti. Wo tume khud hi decide karna hota hai.
B:pyaar..? Tapish bhai..?
M:shayad.
Bani smiled.
M:so pyaar..? Veer..?
B:shayad.. 😉
M:bani...(they laughed and hi-fi'ed)

The day passed and passed.
Each and everyday ut was like a new puzzle for both veer and bani. But they didn't wanted to rush. They took ut slow. They were friends forever.
The friendship in them lasted for ever.
Even if it was not love. They didn't mind to continue with friendship.

But the destiny was already written.
Even they were parents of thier cute son after 7 years. Thier friendship was forever. Yes. They had married. It was not an easy decision to make. They were matured. They knew what they were doing. But at the end they came up with thier feelings. It was 3 years of their marriage when they welcomed thier symbol of love/ thier friendship.

Today, Vian- Veer and Bani's son was celebrating his 7th birthday.
But thier friendship was forever.
