" This is the entrance hall, a place meant to greet guests," said Reji.

I replied with a deadpan stare, "Well, that's not rocket science, Sherlock. However, I don't think being ambushed by someone is very welcoming." Yui, who had been sitting on the couch, quickly rose. She ran up to him, clutching her hands to her chest and blurting out, "Please help me!" in a frightened tone.

I never thought someone could side-eye as hard as this dude did, especially with glasses on...

He asked with a hint of sassiness, "And who are you?"

"I'm Yui Komori! My father sent me here to live with my sister," she responded, finally acknowledging my presence. To ensure her safety, I moved a little closer.

"I've heard nothing of the sort," Reji says before turning to Ayato " Ayato, explain this to me."

I turn to put my attention back on him, he's now sitting on the floor rubbing his head irritated. "Huh? How should I know? " he turns to Yui "You never said anything about that, Pancake."

I was taken aback. How could she have told him anything when he literally pounced on her the minute we walked in? Yui seemed to be on the same page as me, as her response mirrored my thoughts exactly. Ayato huffed like a toddler and turned away.

"Wait, did you say 'pancake'? Are you referring to me?" Yui asked, her face turning a shade of red.

"Of course, I'm talking about you, stupid. You're as flat as a pancake."

I couldn't help but wince on Yui's behalf...

"That is strange. I wasn't informed of this," added Reji. I internally agreed, that made two of us.

"Excuse me, but who are you-"

"We shouldn't continue our conversation here, follow me," Reji interjected, cutting her off mid-sentence. He then instructed the butler, who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, to carry our luggage.
