Hunter Argents POV

The music was playing in the car as Mom and I had been driving for hours at the dead of night. I wasnt realy paying attention because I was beyond anoyed at the fact we had to pack up and leave the hotel at a stupid hour of the afternoon.

"Mom, why did we have to come to Beacon Hill's." Hunter said leaining into his seat bored stairing out the passanger window.

"You know why. Your uncle said there was an Alpha in town and he needed all hands on deck." Kate Argent said tapping the stering wheel to the beat of the music.

"I know but could'nt we have stayed in Phoenix?" I said huffing.

"Hey drop the attitude okay. You know what we do and why we do it, thats why where here. To help." Kate said rolling her eyes in a tone of authority.

"You mean to shoot first and ask questions later." I said cranking my head in moms direction so she could see the sarcasim on my face.

"Hey dont give me that look okay. I know you finally started making friends but we have a dut-" She was interupted as Hunter finished her sentince.

"Duty to hunt those those who hunt others. Yair i know you've drilled it into my head since i was 7 mom. I just wish we were a normal family." He sighed

"I know honey but with our knowlage and our family history we've killed and found more speices of supernatural creature's then any other family of hunters across the world. So we have the responcibility to uphold those traditions until our dying breath." Kate said nonchalontly.

"Well its gonna be nice to see Allison again. Uncle Chris not so much." Hunter said as Kate turned the car down a long alyway inbetween a row of factories.

"Chris dosnt hate you." Kate chuckeled. "He just dosnt agree with the fact that I've taught you about the family buisness and brought you into it as a kid."

"Are you sure its just that?" Hunter said with a hint of sarcasim.

"Mm hm." Mom said trying to reassure me.

"And one more thing, Allison still dosnt know much to your grandfather's and my imput so not a word ." She said to me very sternly.

"Well she's lucky." I said with a tadd of jealously.

"Oh stop pouting, get over it." Kate said now with authority losing all sympathy in her voice.

"Ignorince is bliss." I sassed back as the car returned to silence as we hit a stop sign.

After a few second there was a suddon thump on the roof of the black SUV. Kate put her left hand up holding her finger to her mouth telling me to stay quiet as we listend for more movement. Then a split second later the driver side window shattered as a muscled brown clawed hairy hand wraped itself round Moms arm trying to pry her from the car as she fought against it. Hunters mind went to instant fight mode as he grabbed his dual side arms from there hidden spots on the sides of his seat throwing the door open as he rolled out landing on his foot and knee facing the car guns aimed at the the giant overly muscled fur beast as he opened fire.

Kate followed suit getting out of the car with a shotgun watching my six covering eachother so they dont get jumped.

"Come on!" Kate screamed trying to challange the beast hiding in the shadows firing a shot into the air.

"Mom calm down we need help if thats the Alpha." I said following her to the back of the car as she opened the truck throwing the blanket away covering the mini arsonal we had in the trunk.
