The rest of the class goes by relatively quickly as the students rush out of the room as if they are on a massive sugar rush. Blade slowly zips his backpack then swings it across one shoulder. As he's walking out of the classroom, he wanders into an empty classroom nearby. The werewolf closes the door behind him as a quiet thud is suddenly heard.
"Who's there?" Blade calls out. "Whoever you are, show yourself or else."
"Let me go." he hears someone say.
"You aren't going anywhere, sweet cheeks." another person replies. "It's just you and me in here so I can do whatever the hell I want."
"I said for you to let me go." the first person says in a very calm voice.
"Or else what? You attack me? Why, I don't think you'd win." the second voice scoffs.
"Oh, I think I would win." the female replies then throws a sudden fireball at the guy.
The girl keeps a fireball formed in her right hand as her stunning blue eyes glance at Blade.
"Blade?!" she shouts. "What in the name of Irene are you doing here?"
"I just needed a place to think about some things. What are you doing here?" he asks her.
"Well I was enjoying the peace until that guy decided it was a good idea to ruin it." she jerks a thumb at the downed body.
"Harper, since when could you shoot fireballs from your hand?" Blade frowns.
Her eyes dart back and forth. "Oh! The fireballs? Well, that's just a spell I learned. It's not like I'm a Phoenix or anything." she slams a hand over her mouth a second later as she realizes she said too much.
"A Phoenix?" Blade eyes her. "There's no way you can be a Phoenix."
"How do you know? It's not like you know anything about Phoenixes!" Harper snaps.
"I do know things! I know they're a supernatural creature and that they mate for life!" Blade fires back.
Harper rolls her eyes sarcastically. Great! All this spending time around Blade, has him rubbing off on me! Ugh, you stupid idiot. "Oo, big deal. Everyone knows they're supernatural! That's like asking if werewolves or vampires are supernatural." she comments.
"Does that mean you really are a Phoenix?" Blade questions. "If you claim I'm being a stupid idiot."
The redhead stares at him with a shocked expression. "How did you know what I was thinking? I never said any of that aloud." she raises an eyebrow suspiciously.
Blade gulps. Oh Irene, I'm screwed. "Uh....um..." he stutters. "Well...I...um.."
The girl in front of him continues to give him a raised eyebrow like she doesn't believe a word he's saying. All the more reason why he likes her. She's getting to be almost impossible to lie to.
But before he can even give her a proper response and not stutter; he feels something press into his neck. A few seconds in and the werewolf slumps to the ground unconscious.
(UNKNOWN LOCATION — HALF AN HOUR LATER)
"Oi, my head." Blade stirs awake to hear Harper mutter.
She sits beside him, rubbing her temples with a free hand; her other hand is chained to Blade's.
"Seriously? We're chained together? You have got to be kidding me." she groans.
"Chained together or not; we have to find a way to get out of wherever we are." Blade mumbles once he's fully awake.
It takes him a good few seconds to be fully awake and now that he is, his eyes glance around. It's pitch black except for the body of Harper beside him; he can only tell it's just them. Nobody else.
"There's nobody else here except us." he murmurs. "Which is weird if you think about it."
Harper folds her arms across her chest and gives him yet another raised eyebrow expression. "And you know that how, exactly?" she says.
"It's a hunch." Blade quickly replies.
"A hunch? You know, I don't believe you." she states.
Well, it's not like I can up and tell you that 'oh hey, I'm an Ultima werewolf that everyone's on the hunt for', now can I?
"My lady! They're awake!" the two hear someone shout.
Two people then race up to the duo chained together. Harper glares at them.
"What do you want? We're just innocent teenagers, surely you can let us go, right?" Harper tries to persuade the two; but it fails as they laugh at her response.
"Just innocent teenagers? Yeah right! This one killed over thirty people!" one of them points to Blade.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I never killed anyone." Blade finds himself lying for his sake.
The other guy laughs then turns serious in a heartbeat. "Lies! We all know you killed Emert and nearly half of his warriors!" he shouts.
They wouldn't know that unless they were former members of Emert's pack...wait a second...oh sweet Irene. I'm definitely dead.
"Enough with the foolish sentences you dare speak of. Grab the Alpha and his friend, it's time we take them somewhere." a lady says in an authoritative tone of voice once she strolls up to the group.
"Yes, my lady." the two people who knew he was lying; grabbed him and Harper.
They are being lead by unknown people. A group of scientists that are known as the Dalliance.
(DALLIANCE HQ — TWO HOURS LATER)
He can feel the cold metal hit his back and it's quite uncomfortable for him. His wrists and ankles stayed chained as his eyes shift over to Harper; who is in a similar position as he is.
"What are you going to do with us?!" Harper shrieks. "Let us go right now!"
"Or else what, little lady? You throw those Phoenix flames of yours at us?" the head lady smirks. "Oh don't look so surprised dear. We've known for years that you are a Phoenix. Just as we have known the male is a werewolf."
Harper turns her head sharply to stare at Blade. "So you're a werewolf this whole time?!" she shouts. "How did I not figure that one out?!"
"Look, in my defense; how was I supposed to know you're a Phoenix?!" he fires back.
"Well genius, you figure it out like a smart guy would!" Harper snaps.
Blade scoffs. "Oh yeah, like you made that obvious." he rolls his eyes.
"Shouldn't we stop the bickering between these two? Or just let them bicker it out?" someone whispers to the head lady.
"Inject the Alpha." the head female orders.
A younger female nods her head and grabs ahold of the needle that lays on a table near her. She slowly walks over to the bickering duo and injects the thing inside the needle into his bare neck.
"What did you do to him?" Harper asks. "I didn't ask for him to be silenced like that!"
"Calm down, girl. The Alpha will be fine, he's just experiencing some technical difficulties that's all." the head lady responds.
"Technical difficulties? What kind of technical difficulties is he experiencing? Because that, lady; looks like it's anything but that." Harper states.
The head lady decides to ignore Harper's words and merely focuses her attention on Blade.
"Take him to the room but leave the girl here. She's too much of a nuisance to him." she barks aloud.
