Waking up from the morning chirps of the bird outside my window. Yesterday was the worst thing I have ever encountered...

"Wait, didn't 'that' devil healed my throat or something?

"Hello? Testing. Tes- ack" immediately start to cough out blood, reaching for the water I have kept under my nightstand. Drank it all at once leaving the taste of metallic iron.

'Guess not...I should quit the job now and just find a new one.'

Knocking sound was heard outside of the office of Makima catching her by surprise. She commanded to come in, revealing Y/n with an nervous expression.

"Oh, I'm glad the hospital had already discharged you." Makima chuckled to herself while the girl just stood nervously, trying to form the right excuses for her to quit.

"Um miss makima..I um.."

"I know that I have just joined public safety. I'm sorry to let you down but I am not strong enough to handle this job daily. I do hope you can understand-"

"You can't!"

Slamming her hand on her desk with the mixture of her shocking loud voices. Getting the girl all startled and worried for a moment.

"What I mean is-...you can. Oh dear, it is truly sad to know you are already leaving. I should've known this day would happen, Aki and the others were just warming up to you, but I guess you already made your decision."

Y/n starts to feel bad about leaving the three now, because she was also starting to warm up to them and was also slowly getting attached to the red haired.

"Before you leave, can I make you join me at a carnival this afternoon? Just a little memory of ours before you...quit?"

"Um..of course!"

"Sorry for the wait." 

Makima came around the corner, this is the first time I've seen her hair down and it's truly beautiful. Blood rush up my cheeks causing me to slap my face, not wanting her to know it.

"Woah.... you look so cute today makima," I say amused by her features.

I had to take an extra medication just for this specific time, so that way I can talk with no coughing, or bleeding. Downside....I'm gonna have a headache tomorrow morning.

"Have you been waiting long?"

"No, not at all, I just got here actually." I Lie.

I and Makima began to make our walk to the carnival that was around the street.

I felt a hand wrap around mine, blushing slightly as I tuck half of my face under my turtle neck. This is my first time holding hands with someone, in fact, this is my first date.

"You wanna buy some cotton candy?" I say while already handing my money to the maker.

"Sure, I never tried one before."

'Ha?'

"Here you go. one for your girlfriend." 

"O-oh she's not my girlfriend..."

"Oh, my deepest apologies for the misunderstanding, have fun you two ladies!"

"Thank you, mister."

I handed Makima The classic colour of cotton candy, it compliments her hair colour. That's cute.

"It's...amazing." makima comments at the cloud like candy.

"Yeah, it's like you're eating a cloud."

"I like it."

Alright, getting a snack, check. Now what other things people do on dates, from what I know from movies, they go on rides or maybe win a prize for their girl- no...that's not the right word...friend.

"Hey, you two! Why don't you two give the game a try?" A guy had drawn our attention to his little game.

"Do you wanna try?" Makima asked me while still eating her cotton candy when I just finished mine a second ago.

"Of course," I say.

"Just hit those bottles and you get to choose any prize."

He pointed up his head where different stuffed animals were hanging and some smaller ones on the side too.

"Sure, how much is it?"

"Just 50 yens for three chances."

I handed him the coin and exchanged it for the three softballs.

Focusing my aim at the bottle towered up, locking my aim and throwing the ball, knocking it over with just one try.

"And we have a winner! Nice one miss, so what kind of animals would you like to get for your beautiful girlfriend over there?"

"She's not my..nevermind..."

"Oh! I'm sorry for the misunderstanding." He bowed to show his apology.

I scratch my neck as people keep mistaking us as partners? when we are just going on a....um..a walk through a carnival?

Wait. Does this date a confession or just a hang out one.

What kind of animal person is makima?

Glancing over to makima, thinking it will give me some kind of clues on what kind of animal person she is. She was peeking down on a puppy playing with a child.

"I'll take the Alaska puppy one." I pointed at the hand size doll sitting on the table behind him.

"Here you go, miss, enjoy your time."

"Thank you." Grabbing the doll and walking towards Makima, hiding the doll behind my back.

"Oh, did you win?"

"Yep, guess what I got for you?"

"Well, what is it?"

"Tada!" I showed her the dog doll. I beam her a smile hoping she would like it.

"Do you like it?" I questioned as she gently picked it up to my fingers.

"I love it, thank you."

My guess was correct after all. Yes!

"What else should we do?"

"Let's see..."

We went on lots of rides, games and performances. It's fun seeing Makima trying some food here in the carnivals, some of them she never even have.

The day went on pretty fun. My face immediately frowned when I realised that tomorrow I won't be able to see them anymore.

It was getting close to dark and the carnival was almost gonna be close by an hour later now, so we decided to head back home, we were exhausted but the smile on her face never seems to disappear.

"Can I ask you something Y/n?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"The word love? What do you think it means to you? Like for example I say 'I love you' to you what do you feel and think?" 

"Love? My thoughts? Well...I feel fluttered by your words well that depends on how you view it so ahahah." I answered, not really sure if that's the correct one.

"Say, people keep mistaking us for being a couple, do you think, you would like it if we were actually like one?"

I blink twice. Trying to process some answers in my brain, preparing my answer for her.

"um... I don't know, I'm not sure but if it's ok with you then...well I don't know. " My brain couldn't process what I was preparing, but I just blurred out random words to form an answer.

Feeling her hand tighten the grip on my hand, she smiled at me before saying.

"Well then, would you like me to be your girlfriend starting today?" 

"Excuse me?"
