The last two weeks were intense. The search for a safe location was now in full swing. Darvos in particular seemed hell-bent more than the other officers to find the right place. Sabine had even put them in contact with Ketsu, who had given them a list of systems where there was no Imperial presence and they could find a planet to settle.
For now, though, the fleet still had to mount incursions against imperial convoys to get the supplies they needed, as all the major spaceports in the sector were heavily guarded by the Empire.
As if it wasn't enough, Ezra and Kanan ran into the two Inquisitors a couple of times while they were scouting possible locations, though they always managed to shake them off.
Fearing that there might be a possibility of her running into the dark-siders, Jaral started to train with her batons with Kanan and Ezra, and as for everything else, she proved to be a quick learner. While she would always end up defeated by the more trained Jedi, her improvements could be seen after every fight.
Jordan started to take basic flight lessons. Back in the Milky Way, he could fly any fighter or small transport, but since he arrived in this galaxy he had left Lothal only a handful of times and with public transports before he was imprisoned. He never had the opportunity to familiarize with the mechanics and the commands of the ships that surrounded him now, but since he was covering an increasingly major role in the fleet, he thought that he should at least learn how to fly shuttles and fighters. Jaral was of course more than happy to train him, as compensation for all the various tricks that the father kept teaching to his children.
Furthermore, the Legionnaire started to participate in multiple missions aboard the Ghost, to the point that he was awarded the call-sign 'Spirit'. He also took the lead in small raids organized by his daughter and the commanding officers. More than one time he was offered the rank of Lieutenant, but Jordan felt like he wanted to stay a Sergeant for a little longer, a move that gained him the respect of the soldiers around him.
Mira was now renowned as the fleet's skilled head doctor. Other 9 volunteers from various species and genders had joined the fleet recently and opted to become medics under her training. The woman also decided that everybody on the fleet should learn at least first aid procedures, something to which Sato agreed completely. That meant that now there were regular lessons for everybody two times a week, to which the siblings had to participate too, while Jordan only needed to learn the difference between the medical supplies of the Milky Way and those of this galaxy.
Now the young Captain of the Phoenix Fleet was aboard her X-Wing, assisting the Ghost in another raid. Right now, their naval squad was composed of one Hammerhead corvette, the CR 90 'Peacebringer' and two other fighters, one of which was piloted by Ezra, the other was Phoenix-2.
Though the squad did manage to steal the container of supplies, the Ghost now had to give it to the Hammerhead, while a Star Destroyer and a light cruiser were on their tail.
