Kyoto, Japan. In an abandoned warehouse just on the outskirts of town. The trees are blooming a beautiful explosion of pink and red. The wind blowing ever so slightly to give the leaves on the trees the slightest of shivers. The sun smiling down on the warehouse on this beautiful midday in July. Inside the warehouse, are killers like none other. Men who would do anything when it comes to their sick and twisted version of family. Men who are restless in their trigger fingers and brutal. Men, who are apart of the Yakuza family, Tatsuya.
"Hey, boss." Chen Tatsuya starts, "What do you think about this red eyed Oni thats been taking out part of the family?" The boss, or, Eita Tatsuya. Looks up from his tattoo chair, where he is getting the dragon tattoo on his back touched up.
"I think hes a coward. He is brutally murdering our men with a weapon of unknown origin. Its disgusting. He should face us straight on." The warehouse on the inside looks nothing like the outside. The Tatsuya family normally resides in a beautiful mansion inside Kyoto, but not currently. The inside is decorated with beautifully livid paintings, and two stories of gold. It looks like the nicest mansion youve ever seen on the inside, if you forget about all the gunmen that are everywhere.
"Do you think we should do anything? Be prepared for him or anything? Maybe double the guards around you? If he is truly an Oni, we need all the help we can get." Chen states. Eita puts his hand out, stopping the tattoo artist and stands. He walks over to Chen and smacks him across the face.
"You truly believe he is an Oni, Chen?" Eita asks in a calm sadistic voice.
"Uh- no- no sir!" He shouts.
"Thats what i thought." Eita says as he grabs his jacket off the table and begins to walk away, throwing it on his back. His black trench coat almost is what he became notorious for in the Japanese community. Hes known as Eita the Trench. Hes a brutal killer, and a mastermind all in one. Hes smarter than most in the Yakuza, if not all."You know why they call him The Whistling Oni, right?" A guard says to another as they guard the front entrance to the warehouse.
"Because he whistles?" The other responds, sarcastically.
"Because when he whistles, you never hear anything again." The guard laughs, while the other rolls his eyes. All the sudden a sweet whistling rythum plays in their ears, soothing to hear. Its a slow melody that is a common one to hear in Japan. A relaxing sound.
"Wait!" The guard who was just annoyed by the whistling facts says.
"Oh shit! Its not supposed to be real!" The one who told the story exclaims in terror. All the sudden a man holding a gun walks into view. The whistling gets closer, revealing its him.
"Wang you ass!" The story teller says to the man who walked up.
"What the hell are you doing try to spook us like that?" The other guard says. Wang hasnt taken a step towards them, and the whistling hasnt stopped.
"Youre supposed to be doing perimeter checks, are you not? Are you doing another loop? Why are you just standing there, whistling?" The story teller guard asks, taking slow steps closer.
"Wang?" The other gaurd asks, walking forward as well. Even though the sun is shining so vividly down on the beautiful green grass that Wang is standing on, its almost as if he is covered in mysterious shadows. Only his face and outline of his body being able to be seen. As the other two gaurds get closer, Wang falls to the ground, revealing the real person who was whistling. A man with white hair, and blood red eyes. He has two earings in both lower parts of his ears. He is wearing a jacket with a black outside but blood red inside the hood. He has no weapon visible in his black gloved hands. The two guard aim their guns at him, as he continues to whistle.
"Who are you?!" The story teller guard asks.
"What did you do to Wang?!" The other asks. The man doesnt stop whistling.
"We will shoot!" The story teller guard yells. All the sudden the whistler disappears. Just to appear behind the story teller guard, whistling in his ear. The other guard panics and takes two shots into where the whistler just was, only to see there is no whistler anymore. He rushes to the story teller guard where he grabs ahold of him.
"Are you alright, Zhou?!" He asks. All the sudden Zhou puts his gun up to his head, which is lined up perfectly with the other worried guard. He fires, blood splatters everywhere. Both bodies collapse to the ground. The whistler, still whistling stands over them. Zhou shot himself in the left side temple, with the othet guard on his right side. The .45 caliber bullet went through Zhou's head and straight into the eye of the other guard. The whistler stops whistling.
"I am Taka." He says before disappearing.Back inside, the two guards at the gate are also talking about Taka.
"Hey, Li. You know they say this Oni is a Yakuza? Someone says they saw a peice of his dragon on the back of his neck. And on his forearm." One of the guards says.
"Oh whatever, Yaou. He isnt even real." Li responds.
*BANG*
"What the hell was that?" Yaou exclaims.
"Get the boss into his room!" Li says into the radio. Yaou opens the door to see two dead bodies on the ground.
"Oh my God! Zhou and Kai are down!" Li says as he rushes outside. His ears become filled with a smooth whistler, just as the two before.
"Li, are they okay?!" Yaou says from the door.
"Whats going on?" A woman rushes up from behind Yaou.
"Oh, Mia! Zhou and Kai are down. So, Li is checking to see if they are alright." Yaou says.
"And what is he doing now?" Mia says, pointing out the door. Yaou snaps his head back to Li just in time to see him open fire on the doorway with his pistol. He connects multiple bullets with Yaou's face, leaving him unrecognizable. The blood splatters all over Mia. She screams and slams the door shut. She tries to wipe the blood off but it just keeps smearing, making it worse. As she turns around to run away, Taka appears in front of her.
"Hello, Mia." He smiles a devilish smile.
"Taka?! Oh thank God! I dont know whats happening but Li just killed Yaou!" Mia yells.
"I know. And now its your turn." Taka laughs as he walks away, and begins to whistle again. Mia panics and goes to run to her right to get away from Taka, only to see Li there smiling at her.
"Oh hell No!" Mia screams as she reaches for her gun. Before she can, Li puts four holes in her arm, chest, and head. One in the arm, one in the head, and two in the chest. She collapses to the floor, the blood spilling out under the crack in the still shut door.On the second story, panic is exploding through the warehouse. Screams and gunshots riddle the whole building.
"Chen! What the hell is happening?!" Eita asks, loading a Golden .45.
"I dont know sir, im trying to see. It would appear one of our own is killing others!" Chen yells, peaking through the door.
"Its one man! Just kill him already damnit!" Eita yells. All the sudden Chen is knocked away from the door into a dresser. It rumbles the wall, and the door flies open.
"Hello, Brother." Taka starts, looking at Chen as he struggles to get up. Taka glances over at the desk at the end of the room next to the window.
"Father." Taka smiles.
"Taka?! You're dead!" Eita yells.
"Obviously." Taka smiles. Chen gets back up, removes his blazer to reveal his muscles. He has a tattoo of a dragon that covers both of his arms and goes down to his hands. Chen charges Taka and Taka dodges to the left of Chen's right jab. Taka kicks Chen directly in the stomach as he dodges left. Chen grunts and drops to a knee, then immediately gets back up. Chen charges again, this time doing a left jab and an uppercut. Taka dodges right and grabs his arm mid punch. Taka pushes up on his elbow the hardest he can, breaking the bone and shooting it out of the skin. Blood sputs all over the roof and freshly cleaned carpet. Chen screams and collapses. Taka stands above him without a scratch. He removes Chen's gun from the holster on his hip and fires three shots into his stunned father. All three center mass, same spot.
"Now, brother. I believe you have something of mine. I want it back." Taka says, holding his hand out. Blood is caking the window now, creating a red tint in the room as the sun fights to shine through the thick blood.
"All this over that shit?!" Chen screams. Taka shoots Chen in the leg.
"Give it." He states again. Chen screams.
"In my blazer asshole!" Chen screams. Taka walks over and grabs the blazer, checking the pockets, he finally finds what hes looking for and takes his out. Its a limited edition baseball card. Very expensive. To Taka, its not the card though, its the message on the back.
*タカ、愛してる*
*Taka, I love you.*
Taka fires a shot into his brothers head as he walks out the blood stained door. As he walks out, he doesnt even look around him. He just stares at the card as he walks down the stairs towards the door. Theres a scream as Li is being held down by two people, they are using the tattoo gun to pierce his skull. Taka, without looking back or away from the card, shoots three bullets. Everything goes silent besides the tattoo gun still going. He walks out the door, and through the blood soaked grass. He steps over the dead remains of Zhou and Kai, and walks into the tree line. The wind, snarling with rage. Once Taka reaches the trees, he begins to whistle again. The whistle spreading all over on the back of the unhappy wind. As he disappears into the trees, the whistling gets ever so louder.
