I was watching the clock on the wall, willing it to move faster. Its my last day junior year and I cant wait to start my summer.

"Keeley, what are your plans for this summer?" I turn my gaze from the clock to my best friend Lane. Her brown eyes were already looking at me.

"Family vacation." I sigh. Every year my parents take all of us kids up to the mountains to allow us free use of our normally hidden powers.

Oh right you guys are probably thinking "what powers?". You see my dad and my siblings our all Specials. Basically we are werewolves who are extremely powerful and can use magic.

Our powers include force fields, telekinesis, and power over certain elements. My sister Addy can control earth. My father has the power of fire. Grayson and Nathan can control weather. My youngest brother is water. And me, well i havent specialized in an element. Not yet anyways. The mountains are the only safe place for us. You see they are protected by a spell that my mothers friend placed on them. They are our only safe place, we arent sensed there.

"Hello? Earth to Keels. You in there?" Lane asks as she puts her fist up to my forehead and knocks on it.

"Sorry.What?"

"I asked of you guys were going to the mountains again."

"Yeah. Mom called Addison. Shes coming home next week. The boys are all packed up and ready to leave." The minute hand ticked slowly. Only two more minutes then school was out and my summer began.

"What about you, arent you excited?" Her eyes met mine once again and I just shook my head as the bell rang.

"No I just want a normal life." I hate being who I am. Not just a werewolf but also a special. Its alot of stress for a 16 almost 17 year old.

"Summer!" Nathan, my brother, yelled in my face. He was dancing all around the hallway as we made our way to our lockers.

"Yo! Nate, why are you so happy?" I asked while grabbing my bag and keys. We started to walk towards the frong door the three of us ready for summer.

"We get to see Addison and go to the mountains. Why arent you excited?" I narrow my eyes and shake my head as we get to the car.

"Bye Lane. I love you and I will call you from hell."

The drive home was boring and annoying. Nathan kept asking why i wasnt excited and I just kept blowing him off. It wasnt untill we pulled up to our ranch styled home that he shut up.

"Were not done here." Nathan called as he crawled out of the car and ran towards the front door.

You all must think im being dumb not wanting to go. All i have to say is you dont know my family. My dad is a big teddy bear but he is very over protective and likes to be stern when were arent home. Even though we have the spell at the mountains, my parents still think home is the safest place because of the pack.

I had just pushed the front door open when my mother pulled me into a hug. I laugh as I hug her back.

"Hello mom."

"Hi baby, are you all packed?" She asked looking nervous.

"Not yet. I thought we werenf leaving for a week." I told her calmly even though inside i was freaking out.

"You all are leaving today. I have to stay and wait for Addison."

"Cant i just stay here with you?"  You could hear the saddness in my voice. I didnt want to leave yet.

"No."

"But why not?" I yell whild throwing my hands in the air like a child.

"Because you cant protect yourself!" She yelled.

My mouth dropped open in shock. It felt like she had just slapped me. I felt the tears well up in my eyes as I ran to my room.

Grabbing my duffle bag I threw half my closet and dresser in there. My make up and hair products were thrown in my back pack along with some books and my computer. My phone charger was the last thing I grabbed as I left my room.

My father was holding my mom in the kitchen while she cried.

"Bye mom. Ill be in the car." I pulledbout my phone as i slammed the front door.

You want to make me go mom, fine. But dont expect me to be nice to you in a week.

First chapter done, Yay! Let me know what you think.
