Green.

That one word describes everything I see. Green trees, green grass even the mountains have green. I hate the color green now.

"Keeley, whats wrong?" I look forward and my icy blue eyes meet my fathers icy eyes.

"I hate this place." I mutter. My dad just laughs as we reach the little village where we stay every summer.

"I know. How about we make a deal? If you can go half the summer without complaining, then we will go stay at the beach until school starts." My eyes meet his as a smile slowly creeps onto my face. My dad shakes his head at me, his black hair getting in his face.

"Deal!" I yell jumping out of the car once dad parks.

"Keeley, is that you?" I smile as Rita, my moms witch friend, envelopes me in a tight hug.

I look around at my surroundings. Green trees everywhere and a crystal blue lake. There is a large log cabin which my family will be staying in. The inside is rustic looking with all modern appliances.

" Whats the plan for today?" I ask my dad as he walks in with the luggage.

"We're just going to relax for today." I nod and take my bag going to my room.

I swing the door open and am still amazed by the wooden room. I have a king sized four poster bed in the middle of my room. There is a stone fireplace on one side of my room and a full glass window on the other side of the room. In the middle of the last wall is a sliding glass door.

I go change into a red and white stripped bikini and a sundress.

" Dad im going to the lake!" I called as i grab my bag and go outside.

Its a short walk from the cabin to the crystal waters. You can tell the walk way is well used by all the grass thats stomped down.

The lake is breath taking. I admire it as i set my towel on the sand and strip off my dress so i can tan. I lay down and read my book as I let time pass me by.

I look down at my tan legs that our on fire. The lake looks so enticing compared to the hot beach. I stand up and brush the sand of looking around for anyone else. I pick up my bag putting it by the lakes surface. Checking to make sure no one could see me, i stripped off my bikini. In one swift jump I was in the water as a wolf.

My first shift was probably the most painful and since i had no mate at the time it was ten times worse. No it feels like im shedding a coat. No pain just comfort.

My wolf is white with black tips and black on the tips of my ears and paws. My blue eyes are the only thing recognizable about me when im in wolf form. Even my size is different. I am a pretty large wolf compared to most she wolves my age and build.

The water felt wonderful on my fur. I dont know how long i sat in the water. Ths reason I am getting out is because of the sound of car tires coming towards the lake.

I grabbed my bag and was about to leave when I smelled the best smell of my life. It smelled like coffee and carmel my two favorite smells. Stashing my bags in the woods, I went back to try and find sourse of the delicious smell.

A man walked out of the woods and towards the lake carrying a keg. He is gorgeous with his blonde hair and green eyes. He is well muscled and tall.

When he spotted me he put the keg down and stared. When my eyes met mine, I knew.

"Mate," my wolf purred.

"No. He's human." I statted in an angry shout to my wolf.

"Im not going to hurt you." I heard a deep husky voice say. Looking up I saw the man standing less than two feet away. His emerald eyes shown with amazement as he looked me over.

"You're beautiful." He muttered as he took a step closer. I let out a little bark right as the sou d of the gun went off.

I jumped before the bullet could make contact with my shoulder.

"Ky! Get awat from that thing!" The way that new voice said "thing" made me sound like an abomination.

One last look at Ky and I was gone.
