"It all started when that kid came to our school... everyone fell for him, and so did the three of us."
In Amber's room...
Amber woke up on her bed, but she didn't feel like she was sleeping on her pillow. She got up and saw that she was lying on her mother's lap. She smiled and felt relieved, "I'm happy that things got sorted, mother."
Amber checked the time and saw that it was 10 in the morning, "How long have I been asleep?", she thought to herself.
She shook her head, and headed towards her bathroom to freshen up and get ready. Since it was the weekend, she didn't have to go to school.
After Amber got out of the bathroom and changed, she went to check her messages to see if her best friends had written anything. She saw a lot of notifications, "Where are you, Amber?" "Are you fine now, Avery?" "Hello? Are you there?" "She isn't even reading our messages..."
She chuckled at her screen, she felt like a large load had come off her back. She wrote a message to her friends, "Nat, Sam, I'm here! Sorry for not replying before, but I was asleep. Do you guys wanna hangout, since we don't have school today?"
She closed her phone and went to the kitchen, she saw a peanut butter and jelly sandwich kept for her.
She remembered something and went rushing out of the kitchen, she wanted to make sure her little brother was okay.
At the park...
The girls were lying on the grass, looking at the clouds and blue sky, "So, how long are we just gonna lie here?"
"Hush, Nat! Just feel the breeze and look at the clouds moving. Its a wonderful feeling."
"Ya'll never answer my questions, do ya?"
"Well, nope."
"Ugh, why did I even ask..."
Amber got up and asked, "Guys, what do think?"
"About what, exactly?", asked Nat.
"Let her finish, Nat.", Sam said as Nat rolled her eyes.
"Well, I know that I got into a big fight, but in the end, I know that still like River. So, I wanted to know if you guys think I can possibly date him..."
"What? You're still stuck up on that River dude?"
"Calm down Nat. Amber, you can totally date him, he is quite a nice guy. The other day he helped me at the library by getting a book that I couldn't reach."
"Wow Sam. Now you went into a movie scene where River is the hero and you are what? River's lover!?"
"Hush, Nat. That... you shouldn't say things like this...", Sam said, without noticing that she had started to slightly blush.
After talking for sometime, the girls went to Lattebucks to get some coffee, "So, do you, Sam?"
"What do mean, Amber? Do I what?"
"Like, um, do you really like River too?"
"I wouldn't say I like him as much as you do, but I may-"
"So you do?"
"Or may NOT have a crush on him. Anyways, you can have him, I don't really do relationships."
"Yeah, cause I remember you saying you liked some girl... so I didn't expect you to like River..."
"That's cause I'm bisexual, Amber."
"Ya'll River lovers are leaving me out now. Oh lookie! Here comes our coffee! Yummm~"
With two of the girls liking the same boy, only one is left to fall for the new kid. Nat is confident that she won't have a crush on the new kid, at least not until the next day.
At school...
Nat went to into the classroom to attend the only class that she had with the new kid.
After the lecture was over, the teacher assigned paired projects for all the students, and Nat was paired with River, "Oh, of course, the entire world wants me to fall for him, even Ms. Jill."
After school was over...
"Bye guys, I have to do a school project, so I'm gonna stay back."
"Ok, bye then!"
After Nat left her friends, she headed to the library, "Oh, I pray to God that I don't get put in some cheesy movie scene with River..."
River waved to her while Nat looked away, acting like she didn't notice him.
"Hi, Nat! My name is River. I believe this is the first time we have spoken to each other?"
"Nat? Excuse me but you don't get to call me that, and how do you even know what my friends call me?"
"Oh, sorry Natalie, I just overheard your friends calling you Nat the other day."
"Great. He even eavesdropped on me and my friends."
"I'm sorry, did you say something?"
"Oh no. Nothing at all.", Nat was getting frustrated because of how long this conversation was going on, "So, can we start now?"
"Oh, uh, yeah, sure! So, how do you want to present..."
It had been two hours since then, and Nat had gotten awfully close to River, "Hahaha! Oh my god, you're totally my type dude!"
"Oh, am I now?"
Nat slightly got shocked at what had just come out of her mouth, and she quickly said, "Bro, don't try to flirt, kay? I'm single, and I'm proud, and I'd like to keep it that way."
They both started laughing.
After Nat met up with her friends later that day...
"Oh, look who was talking! You wouldn't fall for him? Hah! Well look at you now!"
"Shut up, Alina. You don't have the right to say that when you love him the most amongst us!", Amber started blushing and looked away.
"But, Nat, how did your project go?"
"Well, we had fun doing it, and I think it went quite well."
"See, Sam? She TOTALLY fell for him! Hahahaha!"
"Hey!", Nat started chasing Amber and Sam ran behind them so that she could stop them.
