The six were sitting in their usual seats. Ouma and Iruma Bickering over nothing, and her getting slightly turned on at Ouma's insults. Akamatsu and Shirogane having a casual conversation about their favorite fandom. And Amami being Amami, on his phone minding his own business. He seems to be a rather closed off chill kind of guy.
It seemed like a normal monday, more or less. Other than Shuichi being overly paranoid. Things were normal. He quietly dazed off staring at the table as more students began to pile into the lunchroom. He was stuck in his own head, thinking about the possibilities, and reasonings, and everything that did and didn't go wrong on Friday night or the fact he could probably be dead six feet under in a grave with a grave stone marked with his name right on it.
Maybe he did something specific to anger Shirogane. "hey." But thats very unlikely, out of all the times they've interacted, things have seem fine between the two. "Hey." He cant exactly die right now though. He still has a job he needs to take care of first.
"Hey! Earth to emo." Ouma waved a hand infront of the others face. Earning a jolt from Shuichi in return. "I called you like five thousand times, whats up with you? Didnt get Mother Mothers latest album ontime?"
"What.. Are you talking about?"
"Hm. Nevermind." Ouma stared him down for awhile and all Shuichi could do was awkwardly attempt to stare back, but he failed miserably and darted his eyes in every direction other than straight. Ouma gave him a measured look.
"Whats up with you? Your acting like you just committed a murder."At the mention of the word 'murder' his eyes drifted off to where Shirogane was sitting. And unfortunately she was starring right back at him. With that same glare she gave when he and Amami we're walking to his place together. Does she know that he knows her intentions? Or maybe hes just worrying and freaking out about nothing.
"Uh. Murder? What are you talking about?" He gave an awkward laugh. Ouma's facial expression turned into one of mischief into one of worry. Which surprised Shuichi. He hasnt known him long. But he doesnt really seem like one to care much.
But then he noticed Iruma, staring away looking as if she wanted to say something but couldn't muster up the courage to do so. But thats when it hit him, the small argument the two had. Seeing Ouma so worried about his friend made him smile.
"Ah. I think i get it now." He checked his watch, he still had awhile left till lunch ended.
"Hm? What are you going on about-"
"Im sorry Ouma, I have a test in english next period so.. i need to go study, excuse me." He waved a good bye as he pushed in his chair ignoring the stares and waves from the others at the table, and walked passed a group of students near the lunchroom door.He did have to admit he partially felt guilty for what happened between him and Iruma. He should of stayed out of it. Being around his attempted murderer and someone hes not on good terms with (or atleast hes unsure of where ever they stand) was starting to get to him.
He sighed quietly, as he opened the wooden door to the library. Despite his other reasons for getting away from the nerve wrecking atmosphere he did have another reason to go to the library. It took him a moment, but he eventually found who he was looking for sitting at a table far at the back of the rather large library. He quietly took a seat on the opposite side of the table and waited for her to finish up her reading.
She put a bookmark in between the page she just finished reading and quietly closed the book still admiring the books cover. "What do you want? Arent your buddys waiting for you in the lunchroom?"
"Seriously, the way you know everything really concerns me Maki. Are you a stalker by chance?"
She looked up from the books cover "No. but i do know my way with a forty four caliber."
He laughed awkwardly at her response. But she just ignored him and passed over a yellow envelope. "For you."
He picked up the envelope and inspected it, he was rather wary considering its only been a few days since hes been here and things have gone a bit south. But the minute he saw who the envelope was from. He gave a blank stare and passed the envelope back. "Not interested?" She watched the estranged look on his face. "That has nothing to do with me." Shuichi pressed his lips together. Though Maki was unbothered. She passed a file to him next.
He carefully opened it. There was a file on a girl named Junko Enoshima. The files have her basic information age, past schools, ect and Supposedly she's responsible for a death or two at this school though theres a note that says its a rumor and nothing more.
And another file with a young girl named Monaca towa, deceased, her death ruled a suicide with her basic information."How did you get your hands on these?" These are rather detailed, complicated files, it would probably be impossible to just down right ask for this. "I have my ways." Is all Maki muttered.
Though Shuichi was rather confused. He didn't exactly understand why he had these files to begin with, or why these two girls in particular.
And upon seeing his puzzled look, Maki began."Junko has been prosecuted for multiple offenses yet she hasnt been found guilty in any of the crimes she was accused of. Doesnt that seem strange?"
Deep in thought the other nodded. "The quantity of offenses, and the amount of times shes been found not guilty doesnt quite make sense. Why was she accused so many times? If not guilty."
Maki slid the book over to Shuichi. Confused once again, he opened to the specific page she book marked. And there lay three photos. Junko Enoshima assumed to be Talking with Monaca Towa. Junko Enoshima talking with a girl with purple hair. And Junko Enoshima Assumed to be conversing with.. Tsumugi Shirogane..
"Is it even legal for me to be looking at any of these files, or photos? What does this even have to do with me?" He closed the book and slid it back to Maki. Rather concerned for himself, and the fact Maki isnt being very 'legal' right now.
"Its only illegal if we get caught." She sighed. "This may not seem important now. But theres a bigger issue going on here. And it needs to be taken care of. For as long as ive been here. Something isnt right.."
Maki, rather worried sat back in her chair and crossed her arms as she got deep into thought . And with that Shuichi leaned his head on his arm. Would investigating Junko benefit him, or maybe talking to someone else would be better. Or should he just mind his own business and focus on his other problems at hand. He really needs to think this through. He could probably get himself killed if hes not careful.
Your up guys. Make your call.
Question: What should Shuichi do with this new information given by Maki?[❌] do nothing and"mind your own business"
[🔎] investigate tsumugi shirogane
[💄]investigate junko emoshima
