He needed water, usually he would carry around a water bottle. But his messenger bag didnt have enough space. It was already heavy enough as is.

He Took a deep breath in.
Exhaled.

He was okay. You are okay.

He glanced back at Maki, she was still sound asleep. Glanced around the library. Still empty. She would be safe. He hoped she would be safe. Theres so many stunts Tsumugi could play.. anyone could play, what would he do if she goes after Maki. After his best, and probably only friend. He didnt want to think about her leaving this world. Not yet. What could he possibly do on his own.

He stood up and pushed in his chair. Placed a hand on the cold doorknob that belonged to this almost empty old library. It's probably been around for a long time.

He opened the door, left it open, the water fountain is only a little down the hall. He could watch the door from there.

He carefully made his way down the hall, every now and then looking back in the direction he came. Stoped at the fountain. Looked back at the library again. She was safe. Just relax. He's probably just overthinking it, your probably just overthinking it.

He took one last deep breath,
He brought his head down and pressed the fountain's button. The water was warm, he had no clue why he expected it to be cold, this is a school afterall. But he would be lying if he said he didnt at least feel at least a little bit better.

He needed to stop letting his 'parents' get to him. He needed to stop expecting something different to happen. Or change. Sometimes when your really desperate your mind tricks you into thinking something that's completely false, something that'll never happen. Like thinking your childhood dog will live forever, and that youll be best friends forever. Thats just not possible. All things come to an end. Just like life, just like friendships. And sadly, just like that childhood innocence made him believe a falsehood view of his perception of who he would call 'Mom'. Or 'Dad'. unconditional love wasnt written in their familys coding. No mattered how much he wished it was. It just wasn't possible.

He needed to go back to the library.
He needed to keep watch on Maki.
His head hurt.
And he couldn't explain it, but he'd also be lying if he didnt say his heart sort of hurt aswell.

It didnt hurt per-say. It felt stiff. Maybe even cold.
You understand what i mean right?

"Hey There." A familiar voice from behind. One that he knew he liked the sound of.
So He stopped in his tracks.
Wait. When did he start walking again?

He shook his head. He needed to focus. "yes?"
"Are you alright? You didn't come back to class?"

He could hear footsteps coming from behind, but he wasn't worried, no. he already knew who it was. He felt more at ease knowing who this person was.
He turned around. "Yeah im okay, i was just studying in the library."

Amami smiled, as if he was holding in a laugh. "Studying for a test that your missing?"

The pain or stillness that he felt just moments ago, was quickly replaced with warmth, a warmth he hasnt felt in awhile.

"I guess that doesnt make any sense.." though he was aware he missed a period or two, he wasnt hung up on attending class. It wasnt a priority, and its not like an absence would mean much. Plus he had other matters that lay more important than learning things he already knows. But wait..

"Forget about me, why arent you in class?"

Amami held his hands up in a defeated manor.
"Oh no.. looks like ive been caught red handed.."
he could feel himself begin to smile.
