Hey besties! Sorry again for another late chapter. They're going to be a bit slow for the next week because my wifi is being annoying and not saving my writing. Again, so sorry, I'll try to update as close to the time as possible.

The couple snuggled together, squeezing and touching, basking in the warmth of the other.

The bite on Chongyun's neck ached with a dull pain, but he liked it somehow. It was a nice reminder Xingqiu still liked him.

They were watching a movie, both boys not fully paying attention to it as it was pull from the screen to the other boy.

Hugging tightly but gently, Xingqiu was silent, only giving a small smile whenever Chongyun looked at him.

"You should think about arranging a court meeting for your mother." He finally said.

"Mm... Okay. If you think it's for the better, then let's do it." Chongyun said, snuggled into Xingqiu's shoulder. "We can get through this."

"We? Who said anything about we? You're doing this by yourself. You've been nothing but a burden to me. Too much crying and self doubt. You're too emotional, you know?"

The room went dark and they were suddenly somewhere Chongyun recognized as his bedroom.

"Wait, wait. W-why are you saying this?" Chongyun said, frantically looking in Xingqiu's eyes to see any sign of remorse or something.

"What I mean, stupid boy, is that you're useless to me. I was just using you as a play thing, but you quickly got boring, and there's no point in keeping a boring toy around is there? It'd be a waste of space and energy." Xingqiu smiled at Chongyun's reaction to his words.

"B-but I-I thought...-"

"B-but you th-thought what?" Xingqiu mimicked Chongyun's stutter. "Did you actually think I loved you?" He laughed.

The golden eyed boy disappeared, and in his place was his one and only mother.

She screamed at him, yelling and kicking and hitting. She hissed harsh words, struck him multiple times in the head until he was crying and begging her to stop.

"-yun!"

Chongyun turned to the voice but was hit again by his mother.

"Chongyun! Wake up." Xingqiu shook him awake, a worried expression painted on his face.

The boy was panting hard, still scared.

He jumped away from the boy holding him like he was on fire.

"It was just a dream, baby. Just a dream, okay? I won't hurt you, I promise." Xingqiu said calmly, as to not scare the poor boy even more.

"H-hold on... Just-just stay there... For a s-sec." Chongyun stuttered, still not fully trusting he wasn't dreaming anymore.

Xingqiu listened to him and stayed put on the bed. "Are you alright? If you're comfortable, can you tell me what happened?"

Chongyun just shook his head, looking fearfully around the room.

"Okay. May I touch you?" They looked at each other in the eye before Chongyun hesitantly nodded.

Xingqiu wrapped him in a hug, the blue haired boy stuffing his face into his shoulder.

Chongyun finally let his breathing slow, and relaxed into his boyfriends embrace as he whispered sweet nothings into the others ear.

"Let's get you some breakfast, yeah?" Xingqiu spoke softly, knowing the boy was still stressed over the nightmare.
