Chapter 5: New members

We were able to reach route 1. I walked up into the grass to find a curtain member for my team and, to show Liz how to catch Pokémon. Liz waited as I ran through the grass fainting Pokémon and finding the Pokémon I wanted. I finally found the Pokémon I wanted. Which was a pichu. I told Liz to pay attention as I showed her the simple ways of catching a Pokémon. I sent out Pipo my popplio to fight it. I was scared that Pipi would K.O it because it grew stronger from defeating the Pokémon that intruded my hunt.

I told Liz that lowing a Pokémon health increases the chance of catching it, also if you paralyzed, or put it to sleep increases thoughts odds. I through a pokeball at the pichu. The ball opened but it the Pokémon was sucked into it. Then it shook. " One, two , three" I said after every shake the pokeball made. Then stars came from the pokeball to tell me that pichu was caught. Open my bag and rotom came flying out.

I grabbed it and opened the Pokémon option. I picked the second team member and looked through it's information. Pichu: ability static: gender female: moves: thunder shock, and charm. I turned to Liz and told what Pokémon should can find on this route. After I was done she ran into the grass to find a buneary. When she found the buneary she used her litten.

"Go, Amber" she yelled

"Mraawww" cried the Pokémon.

"Buneary" cried buneary

By the look on the Pokémon's face it was very upset. I was afraid Liz might get hurt.

" Amber use lick" Liz commanded.

A,beer stuck out it touch and licked buneary, but it had no effect.

"Liz lick is a ghost type move it doesn't affect normal types.

Liz forgot that ghost type moves don't do anything and groaned. She looked like a idiot after that.

"Liz watch out" I warned my friend.

Liz turned around to see buneary in the middle of a tackle. She was about to command Amber to dodge but, she was to late and the attack hit. A,bee was able to take the hit and, stayed standing on in place. After that Liz started better attention and, was able to weaken the buneary and capture it. I let her use rotom to check it's information. Then we started heading towards iki town. On the way I trained Pichu (which I nickname Railola pronoced Rai-lo-la). It was able to learn some new moves like tail whip and sweet kiss. Pipi wanted to learn baby doll eyes but I declined so, no baby dol eyes.

We were able to reach Iki town and at the entrance was some weird people talking. They were talking about some sort of energy coming from festival ahead. Liz and I ignored and and continued walking. Up ahead was Hau waiting for us with his rowlet. He turned around and face us. He waved us over and we ran over. When we reached him Hau faced me. " Hey Makayla, how about I battle you this time since Tapu Koko trusted you with a z-rock" he said. I accepted his challenge. Liz was kinda jealous that she wasn't chosen but, if we found out she was jealous we would think she was a pussy.

Hau and I got in our place and walked up on stage. That's when the festival began. "Today challengers are Hau my grandson" Hala announced. "Let do this" how said as he looked down at his pokeball. " and Makayla who was saved by Tapu Koko" Kahuna Hala announced. I could hear people whispering about me. I turned around to see Me and Liz's so called " Mom" watching me. " take good care of my girl Popplio" she said as she waved to me. I looked down at popplios pokeball knowing he would sent out pichu first.

"Go pichu". Hau yelled as he threw his pokeball.

"Pichu" cried the Pokemon as it was ent out.

"Pipi go" I yelled.

"Bwark" Pipi cried.

Now I was was face to face with Hau. Even though he has the type advantage he won't do much because, pichu was very weak at this time.

" Pichu use thunder shock" Hau commanded.

Pichu closed its eyes and squeezed it itself to unleash a powerful thunder shock. I commanded Pipi to avoid but, she failed. The attack hit and, it left Pipi paralyzed which meant I moved last. Even though being paralyzed Pipi pushed through and, use disarming voice on pichu. The attack hit and, got a critical hit. Hau returned pichu to its pokeball. Next Pokémon was rowlet so, I returned Pipi.

"Go rowlet" Hau yelled.

"Whoo" cried Rowlet.

"I believe you Railola" I said releasing my pichu.

Liz was sitting on the ground with some popcorn. I don't know how she got when there was none around her but, I have to pay attention.

" Rowlet use leafage" Hau commanded.

"Railola dodge then use thunder shock" I quickly commanded.

Railola dodge rowlets leafage and hit it with a thunder shock. I wasn't able to paralyzed it but that was fine. Hau used everything he could to beat me but, failed when pichu fainted his rowlet with a thunder shock. Hau the. Returned rowlet and thanked me for the battle. At the end Hala thanked everyone for coming and was proud of us. We also heard Tapu Koko cry after the battle. Hala then handed me a new formed z-ring for my island challenge. I thanked him and started heading home.

On my way home I noticed Liz was gone so I searched for her. When I was about to search iki town for her I saw her leaving Hala's place. I ran over to her and yelled at her for leaving me worried. She calmed me down and told me she got her own z-ring now. I looked at her wrist and saw a z-ring different from mine. Mine was made out of metal this one looked old and, was made out of some kind of wood with a metal strap to keep it attached to her wrist. I relived that it probably went that we could take on the island challenge together.

I jumped for joy and we both headed home to sleep. Tomorrow is the day we start our real aventure.
