The blood shed continues...
He smirked and sulked in the smoke from his long cigarette. He watched on as Mr Kelani ran helter sketer waving frantically at each passing car to stop and render some assistance. The car in which they were in seconds ago was now in a very bad shape, facing upside down. The sidesof the car was wrinkled with many other dents.
The demon looked down at his vintage black watch and draw another long smoke from his cigarette before crushing it with his fingers. It was exactly 11:45pm. He had another bloody appointment which he must not miss. He drew back his black leathered hoodie on his head covering almost his face before vanishing into the thick bushes.
As he left, Mr Kelani was lucky enoughto stop a car. The owner was a bit sceptical at first but was soon moved at the sight of a young man in a pool of blood.
Mr Kelani and the good Samaritan carried Nuhrain into the car and drove off to a nearby hospital. It took them over 40 minutes to get to the hospital and as soon as they got there, they were quickly attended to.
Nuhrain was placed on a stretcher and taken to the ICU for an immediate surgery. He has a big piece of glass stuck really deep into his forehead and was causing so much bleeding. The two neurologists that attended to them told them if he wasn't operated on immediately, it might cost his life.
Mr Kelani sat there with a bandaged head and leg in torn clothes smeared with blood. He sustained only those few but severe injuries. A lone tear trickled down his face. There was no sort of expression on his face. He maintained a look that concealed his emotions. One could only detect he's sad because of the tear that dropped from his eyes.
The good Samaritan comforted him with soothing words. It worked a bit for he was very careful and smart with his choice of words, using the appropriate phrase so as not to trigger other emotions out of him.
He also offered Mr Kelani some money but he rejected politely stating that he has done more than enough for them. He also told the bounteous man he could leave that they will be fine but he wouldn't listen.
He stayed and made a phone call informing the person who Mr Kelani suspected was his wife that hemight not be coming home that night.
Mr Kelani thought within himself admiring the man's kindness. He never knew people like him were still in the cruel, selfish world. The man was indeed an extraordinary human being with a big heart.
Mr Kelani jerked from his thought like he just remembered something. He searched his pockets but sighed in defeat. His phone. It must have fallen. He was worried that his family must be perturbed. There was no way of contacting them and he didn't want to request from the man another favour.
He kept mute staring at the floor with distress. As if on cue, the Samaritan who was Bashir by name stretched out a phone to Mr Kelani. Mr Kelani stared at the phone with a confused look.
"Your family must be worried about you. Call them and inform them about what happened. Or have you done that already?" Bashir asked wanting to be sure if Mr Kelani hasn't called his family.
"Oh yeah. Thank you my brother." Mr Kelani said and collected the phone then rang up Siddique.
*********
She walked out of the hospital clutching her bag on the right hand and carrying a few other stuff on the left hand. She opened her car booth and dropped the things there. She walked back to the side of the car and opened her car. She paused for a little while and glanced at her back.
"Hmm,that was weird." She thought before hopping into her and drove off. It felt like someone was following her and all she had was a fearful and uncomfortable ride home.
She got home eventually and called her husband to please get the door for her. She rested back on the car seat after hanging up and waited for her husband to come and open the gate. Just then, she felt something ruffling in the little bushes followed by a sound of a kitten.
A part of her told her not to get down from her car and just wait for her husband since everyone knows how unsafe estates can be sometimes in the night. Another told her a kitten might be in distress and might be in dire need of her assistance.
She thought within herself for a while and decided to go forthe latter. She walked down slowly out of her car and walked cautiously to the bush. She carefully checked but there was nothing there.
Then that was when she felt someone behind her. Yes! She was sure of it. Her stomach churn with great fright and she slowly turned. What she saw almost killed her before the person standing struck her forehead with an axe.
Thick red blood trickled from her slitted forehead down to her blue nurse outfit. She was the nurse. Aleesha's caring nurse.
A loud shriek followed and she fell limply into her husband's arm who almost fainted at the sight of what has been done to his wife. He looked around but the murderer was gone.
Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh...
His screams echoed through the quiet neighbourhood, jumbled with the police sirens.Another massacre yet again...
Salaam alaykum people. ☹️
What do you all think?
This really needs to end soon.
Who do you think is behind all this?
Who is the cruel, noxious murderer?
Massacre upon massacre!
Enough is enough!
Let the vicious cycle end!
Let's put an end to it all!
Peace✌
