Reeves
It was the day after my house warming and I felt like complete shit. After Mya stormed out and I broke down, I made my way back to the party and got sloppy ass drunk. It was so bad I'm almost positive my boys had to carry me up to my room, because there was no way I could've made it up the staircase with noodle legs and blurred vision.
Unfortunately I couldn't just sleep my hangover and aching heart away, because Ryder and I were summoned by our parents to join them for breakfast at their Calabasas mansion.
I was half past dead as I slept at the table when I felt a smack to the back of my head. "Damn! What the fuck was that for!?" I grumbled rubbing my head.
"Watch yo gotdamn mouth Revanté and stop fucking cussing in my house! Slobbering all over my table." My mother said chastising me like a child calling me by my government name.
I sucked my teeth. "How you gone tell me not to cuss and you doing the same thing?" I questioned hating being abused by my mama's heavy ass hands.
"This my house and who the mama, you or me?" She spat back. "Why you so tired anyway lil boy, you ain't get you no decent amount of sleep last night?"
"Nope! Because he was too busy getting White Girl wasted and has a hangover from hell!" Ryder answered giddily as she came into the kitchen not wasting a opportunity to mess with me like we did when we were kids by clapping her hands together loudly so close to my ear.
"Ahh! Damn Ry! Will you leave me the hell alone!" I winced at the ringing in my ear.
"Ryderika leave your brother alone.—Thank you baby!" My father scolded my sister as he sat at the table, being handed a plate of food by my mother.
"I will never forgive y'all for these ghetto ass names you gave us. Like we some damn BeBe Kids!" My sister scoffed at the terrible names our parents gave us. Which is why business wise she and I go by Reeves and Ryder. We've even been referred to as the Kennedy Twins though we are a few years apart.
"Well! You sho'l tore up aunt Shamia's pigs feet at Christmas dinner, so Ryderika from the bay suits you just fine ! Ya ass ain't that boujee." Mama said clapping back.
"I understand you wanting to celebrate your accomplishments last night, but getting sloppy drunk isn't your style. What's got you so out of character son?" My father asked as he bit into his food.
I sighed resting my elbows on the table, but a scolding from my mother caused me to remove them quickly. "M—Mya and I got into a fight last night...We broke up!" I revealed painfully.
Both of my parents gasped while Ryder simply continued to eat her food. "Aww, baby I'm so sorry what happened?" My mother asked followed by my father.
"Yeah son, what happened between you two? Your mother and I were just talking about maybe it was time to give you your grandmother's engagement ring."
