A Night under the stars

Piper and I walk into the gym about thirty minutes late.

"Let's go find Jason" Piper says.

As we walk though the crowd, I see guys I have never seen before stop dancing to look at me, or maybe it's Piper. She's the kind of girl that draws a guy's attention.

Piper finally finds Jason and they start a heated make out session.

To avoid being grossed out, I go a corner of the room and take out my phone. Thank the gods for the kindle app, now I can finish my book.

I see a figure coming toward me. Percy Jackson?

"Are your friends making out too? He asks

"Yea" I reply without looking up from my book.

"Wanna dance?" He asks "we can suffer together."

"No" I instantly reply "I don't dance, I'm only here because my best friend made me"

"Come on" he says as he makes a face a girl can't say no to. "Just one song"

"Fine" I say a I get off the wall

We get onto the dance floor and "She Looks So Perfect" by 5 seconds of Summer is playing.

I just kinda stand there, not wanting to dance.

Percy grabs my hand and starts to sing "You look so perfect standing there..."

I smile and eventually get lost in the music with Percy.

Then Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheran comes on. Everybody including me Percy slow down. "Baby now take me into your loving arms" I hear. Percy pulls me close and looks deep Into my eyes. "Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars" I hear. "Well it is a night under the stars" he says as his lips touch mine.

I feel like I'm floating. He breaks away and we just kinda stand there swaying, looking into each other's eyes.

The Piper comes running up to me "It's 11:45! Helen will be home soon!"

I run out if the gym and Percy runs after me "Wait! I don't even know your name! Will you be at school tomorrow?" I don't have time to answer, I have to get home before Helen

Piper pretty much runs every single red light trying to get me home in time.

I barely make it home on time, and the clock strikes midnight just as I walk In the door. My dress disappears and I'm back in my hoodie and jeans. Just then Helen walks in the door.

"Annabeth! Shut up and help me carry in your brothers! They are extremly tired and I don't want you waking them up!"

Why is she yelling at me if she doesn't want me to wake them up?

I grab Matt from the car and out him to bed. He looks so cute when he's sleeping.

I go back to my room and stare at the ceiling in awe. What just happened tonight? I found out my mom was Athena, and I kissed my crush. I'm probably going to wake up and it will be all over. But hey? A girl can dream right?
