Chapter 9

|Shai's pov|

"I see you have moved on," Nahko states.

"What the fuck? I thought you DIED!?" I yell.

"No. I didn't. I faked it and wanted us to run off together. I love you Shai--"

"NO! NAHKO NO! Why would you think that? We were best friends. Only friends. I love Theo," I state back. I just said I love Theo..wow.

"Fine. Maybe I will go die," Nahko storms out of my trailer. Ugh!!!!

I throw a pillow off the couch towards the door as it opens. Theo catches it.

"Woah," Theo throws the pillow back to the couch.

"Sorry. I am so frustrated!! Nahko just showed up and said he loved me and faked his own death so we can run off together. HE IS CRAZY!" I scream. I probably sound crazy right now, but I can't help it. I start to cry into my hands.

Theo pulls me into a hug.

"Love you? Weren't you guys only friends?" He asks. I nod my head.

"Wow he is crazy. I am so sorry babe, we can just stay here instead of going out," Theo says and kisses my head.

"Thanks. I also said something to him I didn't know or realize until now that is true.." I look into his dark brown eyes.

"What's that?" He sounds a bit worried.

I lean in closer and mumble to where only he can hear, "I love you Theo."

He grins and kisses me with full force. I happily accept. He whispers against my lips, "I love you too Shai. Have for a long time."
