Tsukauchi sat at his desk, pinching his nose to stave an oncoming headache. Something about this case didn’t sit right with him. Izuku Midoriya, 13, Quirkless. He was reported missing two days ago, but it was by a family friend, not his mother. After talking with the lady, he was left appalled. She had clearly lied when she stated how worried she was. Infact, she looked rather happy. The boy had apparently been gone since last thursday, meaning he’s actually been missing for a week. He was worried for the kid. He probably wouldn't last long if he was out on the street, and there were clear signs of abuse in his household. He would definitely be opening an investigation on the Midoriya’s household.

A week. A whole week! Izuku, while hungry and sore, has been happier then he’d been since he was four. He’d been cleaning the trash heap and training his body for the last week, as well as getting used to his new schedule. So far everything was going super well - the only problem being he was running out of food and money. He also had to be careful about his appearance, as his face had recently been shown on the news as missing. He sat panting from the workout he just finished, taking a break for lunch. Suddenly, his phone buzzed.

Izuku smiled. Somniac’ was the only person who knew about his homelife. He had also had an abusive childhood before he was rescued and adopted by his two dads when he was 10. He also knew what being bullied for your quirk felt like, and even accepted Izuku when he told him he was quirkless. Izuku felt something wet fall down his face. Are those… tears? Why? He thought. Haha. must be tears of joy. With that, Izuku stood back up. He took off his shirt drenched in sweat, and got back to exercising. He could eat something a little later.
