Everyone except Lloyd and Harumi went out of the room and they were pretty worried. They started talking about something. Meanwhile in the bedroom, Lloyd was trying to comfort Harumi, but it was not easy, especially that Lloyd himself could barely calm down.
"Why does Crystal need to be a part of my past?!She had just been born a few days ago!And those were MY acts,she doesn't deserve this!!Why is she getting the karma,not me?!I'm the one who should be getting the karma,not her!!" Harumi cried.
"Don't say that,Harumi!Listen,those may be your acts,but you've changed.You're not that type of person anymore.And even though that was...not so good,but your goal was good.To avenge your parents,to bring glory back to our city,those were your goals.And the reason you worshipped the evil version of my father,it was clear and understandable.He was the one who destroyed the Great Devourer,so there's no question." Lloyd explained.
"Of course there are questions,Lloyd!I looked WAY too further back into the past,that's the reason I hated you more instead of Pythor,you didn't even know what the Great Devourer was!And after so many years,since I was just a little girl until I was a teenager,why didn't I even try to understand what actually happened,I never even wondered!" Harumi cried out.
"Maybe you have questioned all of that,but have you ever questioned once about why you did those things?" Lloyd asked.
"I..guess not..I don't even know." Harumi answered while crying.
"Because you wanted to avenge your parents so badly.You love them so much until it was...devastating to loose them.I could be doing the exact same thing myself,especially knowing that my own parents left me without saying a word,but...destiny helped prevent me from doing that because it chose me to be a protector instead.And you,destiny helped you become a better person,by reuniting you with me and our family.And destiny helped us keep this strong relationship by giving us 2 kids.They both will keep us from falling apart,they will also prevent us from making the wrong decision.Especially this little princess." Lloyd said and he walked to pick Crystal up from her crib and cradled her to the bed.
He sat down next to Harumi again and gave Crystal gently to Harumi.
"And she will be safe with us.As long as we stick together." Lloyd finished.
"You're right.And that darkness will be stopped anyway,..sooner or later.." Harumi said as her eyes were locked to Crystal's face.
She kissed Crystal's forehead and leaned her head against Lloyd's shoulder. They ended up falling asleep after an hour, Misako and the Empress went inside and they smiled as soon as they saw that their kids were asleep together.
"Is it weird to not believe that those two were the little kids we've raised?" The Empress asked.
"It's pretty normal.Especially for us since we're their mothers,they have grown so fast." Misako answered with pride.
"You are.But me,...I'm just Harumi's adopted mother.." The Empress replied with sadness.
"Don't say that.Harumi doesn't see it that way anymore,and you are still Harumi's mother either way,because the word "mother" is still added to the words "adopted mother".She will always need you as her mother." Misako said to lighten up the Empress's heart.
"Now I understand why Lloyd is such a sweetheart and very understanding.She got it from his mother." The Empress said with a smile.
"Thank you.Now let's leave the two alone,and...we will tell them at dinner." Misako said.
"It's not going to be easy." The Empress murmured in sadness.
They left the room and gently closed the door to not wake them up. They walked to the throne room and started talking about...something.
