John Worth started out as a small-time businessman in his hometown of Bedford, Virginia. At the time, he was selling snacks to adults and kids who happened to pass by. That was until he met Adams Carpathia.
Adams Carpathia was also a small-time businessman. Unlike John, however, Adams happened to own a trailer and a pickup truck. With these, he sold all types of old things that he got his hands on, like t-shirts, shoes, and sometimes food.
One day, Adams and John happened to cross paths. Adams decided to head to Bedford, Virginia, and arrived there at 6 AM. Likewise, John Worth decided to wake up at 6 AM, and when he headed to his shop post, he saw Adams Carpathia for the first time. Adams saw him too and decided to approach John's store and ask him some questions.
When John saw Adams walking towards him, he started thinking. Did the mysterious person want him to close up shop? Did he want to strike a deal about being open after the person left? John thought it over and cleared his head. He would keep open his shop, no matter what the stranger tried to say.
When Adams finally got to John's store, he said; "Hey, uh, I would like to propose a truce between our two businesses." John was thrown back by his sentence. "I don't like where this is going,", he thought. Eventually, he came to the decision that he would hear the man out. John responded with a "Yes?" Adams sighed, with a look of relief on his face. "From this point on, you can be a supplier of my business. You can supply me with fresh food, water, and clothes to sell, and in return, I will give you 55% of what I get from customers. John was surprised, but he thought this through. Eventually, he accepted the job offer. Thus, a great business relationship was born.
