John Worth and Adams Carpathia started getting allies, joining debates, and trying to improve their image. They started a campaign and joined a political party aligned with the democrats. There, John made rigorous speeches, while Adams answered the questions the political party may have. They rose in popularity in the political group. With this newfound popularity, John and Adams got ready to run for senate. John Worth ran for senate against opponents Fred Williams and Tom George the II in Virginia. All the candidates fought hard. Their campaign strategies were brutal. Tom George II often described Fred Williams as a "good for nothing rotten piece of filth" and Fred described Tom George II as a lazy, fat, and ugly person who can't even lift a finger to help his country. John, on the other hand, never joined the petty name-calling. He kept things civil, to an extent, and simplified his words, so that normal people could understand them. This attracted some voters, but other people thought John left a lot to be desired, such as more passion, and more aggressiveness. This, however, did not matter to John. He and Adams turned Adam's old pickup truck into a campaign truck, where Adams would drive through Virginia, while John would sit on the cargo bed of the truck, handing out flyers and occasionally, speaking with a megaphone if the mayor of a town allowed it. This went on, and Fred and George started losing popularity, not by a lot, mind you, but by a bit. This changed, however, when John went through his hometown of Bedford, Virginia.
