I wake up in a cold sweat my breathing heavy from my dream...i....was falling from some..place? Some lavish town of some sorts in the sky but parts of it were falling down around me burning and I could feel a pain in my back around my shoulder blades....I saw feathers burning and flying up past me....or was I falling faster then them....I cannot say for sure....my head Is spinning....ugh this pulsating headache is killing me....I sit up and look around me, im under a tree and I have grass and a building next to me....w...where am I...a voice behind me startles me
"You are in the vicinity of a great magical school named wizards of fire and ash! However despite the name the school welcomes and teaches all types of magic. Oh and how rude of me my name is sky nice to meet you, may I ask your name?"
"My...name?....uhh...Alex if memory serves"
"Hmm..do you have amenisa by any chance?"
"I....am not sure I....don't really remember anything...sorry"
"No need to apologize to me, I have a idea why don't you join me in the school? You can learn magic and try to see if we can find someone or something to fix your amenisa! Sound good?"
"Yea sure....not like I have anything to do or anywhere to go after all."
"Great! Then it's settled, welcome to the academy of wizards of fire and ash! Is great to have you Alex, now then we need to get you registered." I'll take you there come on."
She extends her hand to me, I take it and stand up "uh alright then lead the way miss."
She laughs "ha, no need to be so formal with me Alex, we are friends now after all!"
"Yea....right sorry"
"Again no need to apologize but here we are." She opens the doors to the school and takes me to the front office
"He's a new student who needs to get his ID and take the tests as well, and he will need a dorm room"
The lady at the office smiled and replied "okie doki we will get him set up right away, dorm number 44, will that work with both of you?"
We reply in unison "yea, it will work."
She continues to smile "alright then thats done sir please follow me through this door"
I look at sky and she nods to me so I proceed with the lady
She stops in front of a door with a weird but natural and calm feeling to it, as if something that resides in there is something I was born with, and that's when it hit me...magic
She opens the door and mentions for me to proceed forward, "right through here is your aptitude test, but before you proceed fill out this paper." She hands a clipboard with a peice of paper and pin, the paper asked for my name and the like, ya know the usual stuff
I hand it back to her and she smiles "thank you! Please proceed"
I walk through the door as it closes behind me a voice on the intercom says "welcome to the aptitude testing room, please feel free to use any magic you wish, any level as well, the stronger the better for you, we have a tier system that will benefit you If you are strong. Please begin."
I think about what I should do because i don't remember how to use magic or if I even possess any but the first thing that comes to mind is fire, so I try to conjure some fire, I easily manage very powerful fire magic, but I tone it down to a weak little peaball and hit the target dummy with it, it burns weakly as I had hoped the voice speaks again
"We've seen enough you may leave"
The door that I came through opens again with the lady sitting there waiting with my ID and stuff ready, as well as my rank, novice. She smiles at me and waves for me to leave the office when j get back to the front sky is sitting there waiting for me She smiles when she
sees me
"Sooo, how'd it go?" She smiles brightly
I scratch the back of my head and look away as I show her my rank tag
She frowns "hmmm..." She starts to walk off I walk after her
"Are you upset? And where are we going?"
"To the dorms" She says nothing else the entire walk there except for when we enter dorm room 44 she closes the door behind me and sits on a bed and stares at me "You held back didn't you?" Also this dorm room is both of ours, we share it."
I walk and sit on the other bed "w...what do you mean I help back, I can't remember how to use magic I didn't even know I had magic in the first place! Also cool that we share a dorm room but also weird, do they not care if a male and a female share a room?"
She sighs "even so you still felt the magic flow through your veins didn't you? and they don't as long as nothing happens between the two."
"I...might have and that makes sense I suppose" I yawn
She looks at me again "well we both should get some sleep class starts again tomorrow so get some rest and sleep well alex"
"Thank you, you as well sky"
A city beautiful....burned and ruined by your hands, what gives you the right to forget what you have done to this sacred land! What gives you the right to have the happiness you have no or anything you have at this moment!"
Once more I awake in a cold sweat and breathing heavily.
