2, Date? Maybe

As I walk in, I stop to look around the place

"Woah, its really dark hahah"
Ive never been inside a store thats already closed, it feels nice.. being able to sit down with Tanjiro privately. Just the two of us without anyone looking.

I sit down at a table

"Yeah, we're going to open up as soon as the rain stops
anyways, I made a new menu item, want to try the sample?"
Oh, yeah! I completely forgot.. The new menu item thats why i'm here

"Oh-- yes please"
A sudden beeping noise comes from the back

"Thats it!"
He walks to the back of the bakery, I hear a noise of a tray being settled down on the counter. I quickly catch a good whiff of the scent. Something really sweet, newly baked

"Oh that smells really nice"
A small chuckle coming from Tanjiro

"Hahah really? You can smell it from there?"

He comes with a plate with 2 cinnamon rolls

He puts the plate infront of me and grabs a chair from another table, he sits infront of me

"Cheers"
he grabs a roll and starts eating, the same as me

"Mm! These are really good"

"Hehe, really?" He lets out a giggle

I fluster and no words could come out of my mouth, I instantly look the other way

"What is it?"

"N-no nothing--

Its just that it looks like we're on a date"

"Hng-"
He almost chokes and he flusters, looking down

"Y-yeah kinda"
I decided to mess around with him
I pushed my seat back and faced the other way

"Oh cmon you don't have to do that :("

"Hahaha! Okay"
As I looked outside, I saw a few girls from our school across the street and I also notice that the rain isnt so heavy anymore. More like its sprinkling

Nows my time

I place my seat back facing Tanjiro
I look back and theyve already crossed the street, looking in a mirror to make sure theyre in top shape for Tanjiro

"Oh- yeah, we should be open by now"
He gets up and flips the sign to "Open"
He turns on the light and opens the door

"Hey guys! Come in!"
As usual he greets them with a happy smile, and a welcome

"Hey Tanjiro~"

"Heyy"

The girl looks at me with a dirty look, she totally saw it
As soon as the group sat down, they started talking about me

"Really?! Are they on a date? But he's single"

"No way, theyre probably secretly dating"

"But why are they doing it out in his bakery?"

"I don't know"

"Sorry for the wait"
He comes and sits back down and then continues to eat
I do the same. The girls look back at us in disgust, jelous maybe. Wihout me knowing I had already finished the sample, aswell as Tanjiro

"That was good"
I smiled

"Glad you liked it"
We smiled at eachother for a few seconds, butterflies filling my stomach

"Anyways I need to check on those girls orders, see ya!"
Oh no, he's going to approch them..
Keep it together Kanao-- he's just checking up on them

Just to check, I'll hangout here for a little bit
I hopped on my phone while secretly listening to their small talk with Tanjiro. Girls from our school would do anything just to talk to him, even for a minute

"Yeah, and the new menu? Oh its up now? Ill have that please"

"Hey-- Tanjiro can you wait a sec"

Theyre asking him something

"Yeah?"

"Do you and Kanao uhh-- like have something between you two?"
As expected, they asked him if he's taken or not

"What?! N-no!"
*nervous chuckle*
"Were just- just uh, she came here while it was raining so I invited her in.."
He's completely flusted, normal for someone who has never been in a relationship
Same over here, I can't even tell if i'm making weird expressions

"Onii-chan, whats taking you so long?"
oh yeah, I forgot his sister also runs the place
Its to keep him company and also buy some time away from the girls

At this time he desprately needed her

"Well uh, I need to get moving so yeah, hope that answerd it"

Well, I'm pretty sure thats it, Nezuko is here
I stood up and walked to Tanjiro, saying goodbye

"Thanks for bringing me here, I had a good time
Bye!"
I smile and slowly walked away

"Bye!"
I looked behind me to see Tanjiro smiling as usual

I walked out of the bakery, as I walked back home I saw more girls from my school coming to the bakery
Wow.. his daily customers are just flooding in.

I wonder what he's doing

Once I reached home, I went to my room and tossed myself on he bed. Thinking about what I had said

"It looks like we're dating"

I quietly scream into my pillow
"AJAGAJSGSJ WHY DID I SAY THAT? SISBDISVSKS IT WAS SO CRINGEY IT SOUNDS LIKE I TRIED TOO HARD HUHUUU"

I lift my head back up and let out a sigh, I looked up to the clock in my room

"7:55 PM"
About 8 o'clock
Already?..
I start to breathe heavily
Aghh.. that was tiring
Hmm..

I slowly drift to sleep
