(I'm going to start when Ashelley first gets a little heat on her necklace)
*Violet's POV*I was woken up with a slight shake. I've always been a light sleeper.
"Violet" Ash says, hope in her voice.
I open my eyes quickly at her tone of hope.
"What is it, Ash?" I questioned.
She took her necklace and put it in my hand.
It had heat.
"Ash... It's... Warm" I said, surprised.
She nodded quickly, "We have to follow it. Maybe he's close!"
I quickly stood up and packed our stuff up.
It's not the boy she is looking for, it's the hope that she finally can feel like she's going to live. Without doubting if she'll die or not.
"Which way are we going?" I asked.
She walked around, measuring the temperature of her necklace, she pointed north, "That way."
We walked for an hour and came across an old rickety bridge.
"Wow, this isn't scary looking at all" I said.
Ash nodded, and balanced herself on the edge, that's where it seemed the most stable, "If I don't find him I'll die. If I try to do this I might also die. Either way I'm dead" She said before I could protest.
I just balanced myself on the bridge side and followed. There was no way I was going to stop her, she's was way too stubborn.
"You're crazy!" I yelled.
"Maybe I am! But you can stay here, meanwhile I'll be looking for my life!" She yelled back.
I heard a crack, and looked back to see a ton of bridge pieces falling.
"Uh, Ash! We might want to hurry up!" I yelled.
She looked back and gasped, she sped up her balance process. I got up close behind her.
"Oh my God this bridge is never ending!" Ash complained.
I agreed. It stretched on and on. There was at least a thousand foot drop.
The break was getting closer, and the ropes holding us up were giving out.
"Ash! If you don't hurry up you'll die before you meet you're true love!" I yelled, frustrated but scared.
Snap.
The ropes started to break, one by one.
Ash cursed under her breath and grabbed the rope on the side. She did it in less that three seconds. She spoke so fast I could barely understand, "grab the rope, swing down there's some vines ten feet to the right of us"
I saw what she was talking about the second we started to fall.
We both timed it just right, we jumped and reached the vines. They swung around for a while and we waited for them to stop.
"Why swing to the vin-?"
Ash cut me off, "The ropes wouldn't have held us for as long as the vines would. We need time to pull ourselves up to the top"
We started to pull ourselves up. When we did, Ash smiled, "We're getting closer" she said excitedly.
That's when I saw it. There was flame on the other half of the broken bridge, "Someone tried to kill us" I told Ash, pointing.
