Cameron's POV

This is where I start panicking. I've had like zero heat my entire life, and I just turned thirteen yet still nothing. I'm starting to think the whole true love thing isn't real.

I'm not searching with anybody, or animal, or any other thought.
I just need to find her.

Thinking about what she may be like drives me crazy.

But then.... I felt it. There wasn't much there, but I felt heat.

No idea where it came from, it was just like... bam, it happened.
Maybe hope isn't lost after all.
Violet's POV

We were sitting in the house in their gigantic living room. Ash was getting to know Austin but I was in my own thought.
Will I ever find my true love?

The thought played constantly in my head. It seems like everyone else had no trouble.

"You ok, Vi?" Ash asks me, pulling me out of thought.

"What? Oh... yeah, I guess" I answered.

She came and sat by me, she took my hand, "It's not the end for you," She told me, "He's out there somewhere, looking for you. His perfect other half. His true love. His significant other. You'll get to him. Soon."

I smiled slightly. I grabbed my necklace.

"Ash..." I trailed off.

Her face grew serious, "Is there something wrong?" She seemed concerned.

"No... My necklace" I smiled, "You can barely feel it, but there's definitely heat there."

She smiled at me, "Looks like you may find him after all"

Austin walked over, "What happened?" He asked.

"Violet may find her true love" Ash told him.

He smiled, "Something everyone deserves" He told us.

I stood up, "We have to go find him"

Ash stopped me, "We can't! Those men might still be out there!" She protested.

I looked at her, my eyes determined, "Then I'll go alone."

I walked towards the front door.

"You can't let her go alone," Austin said, "That's even riskier than both of you going."

I closed the door right after I heard her say, "Fine."

I used my necklace to see which way I was headed. From what I gathered, I was going West.

"Vi!" Ash called, "You can't go alone!"

"Oh, but you can take a risk and go on a bridge that was about to break?! Yeah, like that's fair."

"Violet Reneé Houston! Get back here this instant!"

I closed my eyes and counted to ten, she knows I hate it when she uses my full name.

"Yeah, like words are gonna stop m-" I was cut off by a cage falling over me.

"Ash!" I yelled.

She ran over, "What did you do?" She asked.

"Oh, I don't know, I walked"

Austin ran out and ran to us, "Ash, are you ok?" He asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine, we have to get her out of this cage"
Cameron's POV

I sped up when I felt adrenaline rushing through me. Nothing happened, so it must have been her. She was in trouble. Heading east, I knew she must have been far away cause it was barely getting warmer as I ran through the forest. I knew I had to find her before it was too late.
Violet's POV

Ash and Austin were digging a hole under the cage which was taking forever when I felt my necklace getting warmer. Not by much but still.

When they finally got there I paused, looking behind them.
It was those men.

"What do you want with us?!" Ash yelled.

"Oh us? We're the creators of this little game you people call finding your true love. We came to re-collect you, because sisters? That doesn't settle well with us"

Strong hands grabbed my arm and I swung my leg back and kicked him in the nose, it started bleeding.

I felt my necklace before fighting again, Just a little longer... I thought.

Now with fighting Ash and I knew I was better with my legs and she was better with her arms. I mean, duh, we can still fight with my arms and her legs but the accuracy kind of sucks. I kneed a guy in the gut, and kicked one where the sun does not shine. Three down, two to go. But Ash has them. She elbowed one in the gut, punched one in the face dozens of times, and did the same to the third guy.

"West!" I yelled to her and Austin.

We ran west for what seemed like hours.

My necklace grew to be like a hundred degrees, then it started glowing. That's when I ran into somebody, which really hurt, because he was running too.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry!" I said, startled.

"It's ok, I wasn't looking where I was going."

His voice was sincere. I looked up and saw that his necklace was glowing, like mine.

Apparently, he saw my necklace an smiled, "Finally," he said, helping me up, "What's your name?" He asked.

"Violet Houston. Yours?"

"Cameron O'Connor"

I smiled.
He has finally unlocked my heart.
Cameron's POV

I smiled. Violet; a very unique name, and probably the most beautiful I would have ever heard.
