Olivia Lucas: Overweight and Proud Model

Olivia Lucas is a plus sized model.

Having been bigger since she was younger, she always had trouble with her size, but now she is proud to say that she's happy with her weight.

Here is our E! Exclusive with Olivia Lucas.

I: Was there ever a time where you absolutely hated your body?

Olivia: There were many times throughout my life that I was beyond hateful. Middle and High School were the biggest times.

I: Why did you hate your body?

Olivia: I was the only girl in my whole grade that was as overweight as I was. I would always see these beautiful girls that wore a size two and they only weighed about a hundred, while I was a size sixteen and half as more than they were. I was just jealous and i started comparing my body to theirs.

I: What was your lowest point?

Olivia: Definitely when I was about eleven, maybe? I was trying to starve myself and I was bingeing on food. It became a problem, so I stopped myself before it got too out of hand.

I: The most you ever weighed?

Olivia: Two-hundred pounds. Thirteen years old.

I: Were you bullied for your weight?

Olivia: Occasionally. I guess you could consider it bullying, but there was never just one person. There were multiple people verbally abusing me every day.

I: Did you think with your weight, modeling wouldn't be an option for you?

Olivia: Oh, definitely. In the modeling world, you have these stick thin models that starve themselves just to have this job. In my childhood days, there was no such thing as a plus sized model.

I: When did you stop caring what people thought?

Olivia: I stopped caring in seventh grade. Instead of worrying about what people thought of me, I worried about what I thought of myself.

I: Why are you proud to be plus sized?

Olivia: I'm just so tired of worrying about what others think. Yeah, I'm a model, and yeah, I'm fat. So what? I'm still me. I haven't changed. I really don't care if someone is skinny or big, short or tall, black or white, male or female, gay or straight. That characteristic doesn't define them. People need to realize that. I'm happy being the way I am and nobody should care about my weight. It's none of their business.

Currently, Olivia is 187 pounds. She is happily engaged to her fiance Joe Baugh who loves her for her heart and not her stomach.

Special Notes: Olivia is real person that went through depression as a child because of her weight. She ate her feelings away. Olivia is a great girl and I'm very close to her. We're almost one in the same, because my story is almost the same as hers. She's happy.
