Ryan Schlagbum: Substance AbuseThe famous boybander Ryan Schlagbum has been noticeably sadder and more quiet in the past few years. He's on top of the world, engaged to his beautiful fellow pop star girlfriend Jolissa Furnish and singing in front of world. He should be happy, shouldn't he?
No. He's not. Ryan has finally decided to speak out about the rumors of substance abuse. Are they true or not?
Here is our E! Exclusive with Ryan Schlagbum!
I: To start off, let's ask the big question. Have you or have you not been dealing with a drug problem?
Ryan: I'm not going to lie to you. Yes, I have. I have been for the past year and a half.
I: When did the addiction start?
Ryan: Only a few months after the first cheating rumors surrounding me and Jo.
I: What do the drugs do for you?
Ryan: They simply take away the stress. I can breathe calmly and all the weight is lifted off my shoulders.
I: When did you last take drugs?
Ryan: Last week. Tuesday.
I: Why did you turn to drugs?
Ryan: An old friend of mine just gave me a bag and I decided, why the hell not?
I: So you were pressured in some way?
Ryan: Sort of, but I was completely fine and I chose to smoke it. I made the impulsive decision. It wasn't just her.
I: What kind of drugs are we talking here?
Ryan: Mostly just marijuana. It takes away all my thoughts and sometimes I take painkillers.
I: Why is the truth only surfacing now?
Ryan: Because Jo won't marry me unless I get my act together. I want to get better for her.
I: You're willing to go to rehab?
Ryan: Definitely. I don't want to lose Jo over a stupid addiction.
I: Is there anything you'd like to say to fellow drug addicts or people thinking about trying some?
Ryan: Please, stop. Before it's too late. Don't get sucked in like I did. You could lose everything. Don't let the drugs consume you. Get help. Don't let people pressure you. Don't try it at all. I'm a horrible role model for my fans. I'm sorry to all the young teens that may read this. Don't follow in my footsteps. I made a mistake. Don't make the same one I Did. Be smart. Be safe. And live your dreams without fear because you don't need this darkness to consume you like it did me.
Ryan is currently in rehab, only having two more weeks left and he should be getting back on stage soon. Jo has been keeping us updated on his condition on Twitter and all sources say that he's In much better shape.
Special Notes: Ryan Schlagbum is a real person that has dealt with a major drug problem. He is currently out of rehab now and is set to have his wedding with Jo in July. We wish him the best of luck.
