Leon ran behind his mother,  Charmander waddling and screeching at his side. Leon didn't like Wyndon because looking up at all the big skyscrapers made his neck hurt.
"C'mon, honey! Stay close!!"  His mother called, grabbing his tiny hand and yanking him across the street.
Another thing he didn't like about the overdeveloped city- the people. There were simply too many of them, shrieking and climbing over each other and making way too much noise. They stampeded in all directions like a herd of disobedient Wooloo. The crowd was coming closer and closer to Leon and his mother- they were yelling and crying, and that made him scared. Like a tsunami they descended, crushing the young boy and his Pokémon under their feet as they ran. Leon curled into a ball and cried out in pain as they passed. When he looked up again, his mother was nowhere to be found. He was bleeding and Charmander wouldn't stop yelping. Leon was alone.

He would not cry, his mother had always prided herself in having such a strong young man as her son, and strong boys like him wouldn't start bawling after getting run over a bit. Although he did really felt like crying around now. He got to his bruised knees and started calling out for help. Charmander gripped his leg and made an anxious chirping noise, the familiar warmth bringing comfort and helping Leon calm down. As soon as the screaming crowd of people had arrived, they had dissipated through the alleyways and inside buildings. He could hear hundreds of sirens crackling and burning like fire in his ears, the sounds of skyscrapers groaning and the constant noise of thousands of Pokémon howling and wailing in unison. The world around him was screaming.

He ran across the block, his Pokémon trailing behind shakily. He felt so confused by all the noises until he had lost all direction of where he was heading. It was all a thick mass of grey, grey roads, grey buildings, grey sky.

From behind particularly massive skyscrapers ahead of him, Leon saw a dark figure rear its head. A deep blue snout that looked to be almost vibrating, it was enormous, almost taller than the city itself. It cast a dark shadow over Leon and Charmander. He watched as the draconian head turned the corner and he caught sight of something sunken deep into the twitching recess of the creatures face- A gigantic, jaundiced and swollen eye. Leon was frozen, glued to the concrete in sheer terror. The monster's fat throat gave birth to thousands of vaguely Pokémon-like, writhing arms, legs, tails, wings and growling heads. They continued to grow and swell until they clawed up and tore at the ground two blocks in front of Leon.
One head of the leviathan beast towered him, splitting, growing and tearing itself apart while it slunk lazily through the streets of Wyndon.
Leon shook, and burst into tears.
