Lilli was bouncing with excitement. She had rushed school today as much as possible because she was going to see Kira. She hadn't seen Kira since early May and it was now late July. Kira thought she would be back at school but she didn't get to finish Year 10 at school due to the severity of the injury.

Lilli got changed into a casual outfit. She pulled a black hoodie over her grey t-shirt, pulled on some black acid-washed ripped jeans and slipped on some black trainers before sprinting out the house without so much as a "Bye Mum!". The route to Kira's house was muscle memory by know as they had been friends since infancy. Kira and her parents lived in a small house down village street with a big garden.

It only took about 10 minutes before Lilli arrived there. She knocked on the door and waited for less than a minute before Kira's dad opened the door.
"Lilli! She's upstairs if you want to go and see her," he said and without leaving any time she raced up the familiar staircase and into Kira's bedroom. It was as dark and gloomy as Lilli's was light and airy. The bed was black, the walls were black, the floor was black, the ceiling was grey and the room was filled with dark coloured objects. Kira was laying down on her bed.

"KIRAAAAAAA!!!!" Lilli exclaimed before giving Kira a massive hug.
"Eassyyyyy," wheezed a breathless Kira.
Lilli stood back a little to look at her friend. Kira was very pale, and had dark circles under her eyes. Her brown eye had got darker since the accident. There was a black, vein-like scar that went from her forehead on her right hand side down to her right arm and then down to her right leg, although her arm and leg were still in bandages to stop them from being infected. Her black shredded jeans were very loose and needed a belt and her Led Zeppelin t-shirt was tucked in to her trousers.
'I missed you so much!" Kira shouted. "Do you know how boring this is!?"

Trust Kira after a near-fatal accident to complain about being bored. At the beginning of May, Kira was taking part in a motorbike racing championship. The weather progressively got worse and worse and on her way to meet Lilli, who was stood about 60 metres away, she got directly struck by lightning. Lilli ran over as fast as she could and called an ambulance. For a short while, Kira's heart had actually stopped. When the paramedics arrived, they said it was unlikely Kira would survive and if she did, she wouldn't completely recover. She woke up nearly a month later, the day after Lilli's birthday.

"Lets go into the garden!" They said in unison. Lilli grabbed Kira's sketchbook and pencils before patiently waiting for the injured girl to grab her crutches and get out of bed. Lilli helped Kira down the stairs. The rest of the house was decorated in a unique but trendy way. Sometimes it surprised Lilli that Kira and her parents were even related! They walked out the back door and  both sat on the outdoor sofa.

"I've been thinking-" began Lilli.
"Well done, do you want a round of applause?" Kira interjected.
That was another part or Kira's personality. Kira and Lilli were like opposites. Kira was grumpy, angry, judgemental, liked to annoy people and trusted pretty much no-one whereas Lilli was kind, considerate and respectful of others feelings, not that Kira could be as her autism prevented her from properly understanding emotions (like me).

"-That we should transfer schools. My parents are both moving into the London area and this area has some bad memories for both of us," Lilli continued as if Kira had never spoken.
"Might as well," said Kira. "But only if you will help me buy and decorate my flat!"

So hey! It's been a while since I've published anything. Me and catkween82  decided to scrap Obsessed With You and replace it with this! We've always had a soft spot for LGBTQIA+ stories so yeah!
