"Let's go somewhere Iwaizumi.""To where?"
"The skating rink. It's closed but I don't care."
"But—"
"Let's just go, okay Iwaizumi?" she said as she grabbed his hand, it was eight at night, the next day, the twenty third of December, only two more days until Christmas.
She walked towards her bike, telling him to sit on the seat as she'll sit behind him. She wrapped her arms around his torso, laying her head on his back as his eyes widened. He could feel that she was getting comfortable as he started to go.
She was telling him which ways to head and which corners to turn as they were there only ten minutes later.
They got off the bike while she walked to the front door, it was left open, lucky for her she walked right in. Iwaizumi was cautious as he was looking everywhere to see if anyone was watching.
"What if we get caught?"
"We won't!" she slipped on her skates, going onto the ice as she glided around, gesturing for him to join her. "Is it a bad time to say I don't know how to ice skate?"
"I'll teach you Iwaizumi." she went towards him as he was struggling to walk. She took his hand, his eyes widened as she was taking him towards the middle of the rink.
"Don't try and walk just slide, okay?"
"That's not really helpful.."
"You'll get it."
About a few tries later, he still didn't get it until she grabbed onto his arm, holding him up as she was in front of him. "Just look at my feet, copy what i'm doing. Okay?"
"Okay." he nodded, copying her movements. Her hands were so cold to him, he wondered if his warmth was even helping her in a way. She was smiling, laughing so much, he wondered if she smiled and laughed this much before.
She then came to a stop, catching her breath as she continued to smile. "This feels nice Iwaizumi." she took a deep breath, slowly laying her head onto his chest as she felt his arms wrap around her.
"I'm glad I met you Iwaizumi." she looked at him and gave him a small smile. "Maybe..in some other time we could do this again.." she whispered, lowering her head as tears brimmed her eyes.
"What do you mean—"
"Hey! You aren't supposed to be here!"
———
The two were back at her apartment, she was laying on her bed as he sat next to her.
He thoughts were still fixated on what she was talking about. In some other time? Was she going to leave soon? Is that why she didn't want to be with him on Christmas? Because she had already made other plans?
"Coffee?"
"No i'm fine." she nodded, laying her head on the pillow as she patted the empty space next to her, gesturing for him to lay down. "Iwaizumi. Can I ask you a question? You can say no."
"Um sure, go ahead." he heard her sigh, feeling her move around as he saw her face him. "Can I kiss you?" she watched his eyes widened as he fell off the bed. She chuckled at his reaction.
"When I thought of questions..I didn't expect you to ask that.."
"Yeah I know." she sat up, crossing her legs. "So can I?" he was looking the other way, a blush appeared on his cheeks as the tip of his ears were red. "Why..?"
"Why not?"
"Are you playing with my feelings..?" he asked, still not looking at her as her eyes widened. "No because this kiss is just a kiss with no meaning behind it." she said, leaning her face closer to his as he backed away.
"You can just say no, i'm not hurt—" she felt his hands cup her face as his lips crashed onto hers. She didn't actually think he was going to do it so she unconsciously pulled him closer.
A kiss with no meaning.
