Truth Or Dare

The trip had been really fun. I had been busy everyday all day and at night I would be so exhausted. It was fun.

We stayed in this little cabin that had a pool and we stayed for two days. It was about three hours away from home. I think it was made for you to feel like you were in the Tennessee woods camping in a log cabin. When I was little I went and stayed in a cabin with my both of my parents. My dad had planned it for a year and it was perfect. It was nothing like it though. Don't get me wrong. I think I've never enjoyed something so much in my life.

But all good things must come to and end and new things must start.

Today was my birthday. I didn't necessarily dread my birthday, it just was irrelevant. Besides the eating cake and/or ice cream part.

I just didn't want to be alone my birthday. I never really have been. This year though, my mom had a business trip, my grandma had been in the hospital, Jake, Luke, Logan, and Jeremy had signed up to take this Spanish exchange program. That left Jordan and Danny. And I'm pretty sure Danny didn't know. It was okay though.

You're supposed to get treated differently on your birthday. It's as if you had accomplished something. Yay! You came out of your mother's womb! We are celebrating the fact you are useless to society!

Now you understand why I don't like birthdays. I'm not about getting gifts and throwing parties and the rest of that.

My mom left late last night for a business trip which she should be back for in a week. I went to bed before she left. She left me a note saying 'Happy Birthday. I made you a cake since it is our tradition but sorry I couldn't be there. I love you so much my sweetheart. We will celebrate when I get back. Love, mom'

I sighed and got out the cake. I cut a small piece off and put the rest back in the refrigerator. I sat in my chair and ate the icing off of the cake first. Then I ate the cake part. After I was done, I went to my bedroom. I changed into a cute outfit I got a month ago and haven't worn yet.

My phone went off while I was fixing my hair. It was a text from Danny asking me to open my front door. I ran down the stairs and did as I was told.

I opened the door and saw Danny with a teddy bear with a bow wrapped around it's head. It was really cute.

I let him come in and he came to my room while I finished straightening my hair in the bathroom.

I finished and went to my room.

"Thank you for the bear but why?" I asked him.

"You are asking me why I brought you a teddy bear, because I know how much you like stuffed animals, for your birthday? Well my friend, when one has a birthday usually another one gives one presents for their birthday." He said.

"Well I know that and I love it but I'm just going to let you know the ever since my dad passed, I don't really celebrate my birthday. I mean I usually have cake and my friends force me to celebrate for an hour but they aren't here so I was think we didn't have to do that." I told him.

"Okay, fine. But we will have cake. And I'm going to make this the best non-birthday birthday you've ever had." He told me.

"Well okay. But first I have to go to Jordan's house. She texted me telling me it's an emergency."

"Okay, princess, right after you." And with that we were on our way. Jordan lives right down the street so I didn't have to ever drive there. Not that I could.

On the way there, Danny and I talked about useless things. He grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together then kissed my forehead. It made my heart flutter.
