"ma, i'm sick" bk groaned rolling over on her side to look at her mom, the older lady rolled her eyes and walked all the way in the room to examine her child. "you ain't no damn sick, girl get up" she spoke yanking the covers off of brooklyn.
bk wanted to cuss so bad but she knew that an ass whooping was not something she wanted, at least not this early so she did as told and got her ass up. ann (her mother) gave herself a small pat on the back and then left the room.
the teenager rolled her eyes and made her way to the bathroom silently hoping that school would get canceled or blown up in some kind of mysterious way.
brooklyn sighed loudly and pushed past the large group of students, she always wondered why mfs just stood around in the hall like it was pointless and irritating as hell. niggas was walking around looking like zombies.
since brooklyn had breakfast at home she decided to wait in the library cause class hadn't started yet and teachers never allowed students to come in before class since they'd always caused chaos "stupid ass public school" bk groaned pushing the heavy library doors open.
it was a few other kids in the library but nobody brooklyn knew, she shrugged and walked all the way in going to find a place to sit ; the library was definitely one of her favorite places in the school and not even because of the books it was because of the librarian.
she was a nice little old lady, who would tell so many cool stories from when she was younger or the stories she had with her grandchildren, which brooklyn seemed to love — bk knew that she'd also made the old lady's day just from listening to her stories.
soon enough she was in class waiting for the bell to ring again, she used to like school but high school was a bust and if she didn't have friends she probably would skip which she mostly did anyways but that's not the point.
"aye slime" kentrell spoke tapping bk on the shoulder, bk and kentrell never really talked but they knew of eachother "whatchu need" she responded raising her eyebrows as she looked over at him "im throwing a lil get together tonight, you wanna come" he questioned in a low tone trying not to be caught talking.
"who all gon' be there" bk answered the question with another question, kentrell playfully smacked his lips before answering "like the whole school nigga" he cheesed just at the thought of it.
"and dat uh lil lightskin girl coi gon' be dere too, i know you like her" kentrell spoke wiggling his eyebrows at brooklyn, "i don't like her" bk spoke a small blush appearing on her face "mhm yeah ight".
