Zhan was in the second trimester of his pregnancy. He had to wear baggy clothes to hide his baby bump. Yibo was busy with something. But still, the alpha always accompanied him with his checkups with Doctor Lui and Jiang.
He doesn't know that Yibo was busy processing something, and that was to help his friend to pass the bill, in regards to male omegas rights. He cares for Zhan's future. He wanted Zhan to open up to the world, freely, about his real identity. To walk in the pavements even late at night, without worrying for his safety. In addition, he got his license to carry firearms. Yibo decided to apply himself in the military. He's been working at the hospital at the same time training.
"Yibo? You okay?"-Zhan asked. Yibo looks so exhausted. They held a small gathering at their own house. Yibo and he decided to buy one. Yibo's apartment was still there. But they needed a bigger place, especially now, that Zhan is pregnant.
The alpha smiled weakly. So Zhan wrapped his arms around him.
Yibo didn't respond but ended up hugging the omega back. Yibo decided to postpone the wedding for the reason that, everything wasn't settled yet. Zhan and he started to date officially. Yet, Zhan cannot say those three words that he wanted to hear. To assure him, that they truly feel the same way towards each other.
He smiled when Zhan started to give him a head massage, massaging both of his temples.
"Yibo? You really love me right?"-Zhan asked out of nowhere.
The alpha hugged Zhan even tighter. It hurts him, that Zhan was always doubtful of his feelings. He knew, that he was a jerk back then. He doesn't do anything, aside from pestering and annoying the poor omega. So maybe, that's the reason that Zhan continued to be doubtful, about his love for him.
"I do love you, Zhan. I really do, and I'm sorry if I became a jerk, towards you for the last 15 years of our companionship. I am really sorry. But I really love you Zhan"
He really loves the omega. What pisses him off even more? was the realization that he uses, a different method to express his love for him, which created a huge misunderstanding, confusion, second thoughts on Zhan's side.
Zhan saw this, how hurtful Yibo became. He saw the pain in his eyes, which made his heartache. He was falling for Yibo. The moment that Yibo confronted his own family, defending him and their child? His heart started to see Yibo in a different light. Not just a man whom he hated into the core. A man who likes to annoys him and gets on his nerves. But a man, who will protect, both him and their child. As a man who will cherish them both, who will do everything, for them, to feel safe, happy, and loved.
It hurts even more. That, Yibo thought of blaming his actions, in the past. Zhan knows now. That, he did all the annoying stuff to him, to express his feelings, that he truly cares for him and even loved him. Yibo was just using a different method, in expressing those.
