What I said at brunch wouldn't come without repercussions, my dad shut the door and looked at me.He was mad, I stepped back a bit and felt my heart rate sky rocket.
He just took a deep breath and looked at me, his expression unchanging, my mom ran her hand down my hair and lightly touched my shoulders.
"We'll look past the Asher thing, if you make more progress with Daehyun, he responded to your comment no?"
I let out the air that was stuck in my throat, I felt my shoulders relax as my dad walked past me.
I smiled to myself and nodded to her, but a voice deep inside me was telling me to push her off and scream I'd never marry him, not if that's what she wanted.
Instead I just bowed slightly and walked up to my room, cautious of everything I said and did, at the fear of pissing them off.

Asher
Was fuming, he paced across his room and pulled at his hair.
What was he going to do?
What was he going to say now?
His mother had just called his girlfriend a whore, there's no way she'd listen to whatever he'd have to say.
No way she'd approve of his girlfriend, he had no idea of how he'd gently lead her into the conversation, his girlfriend knows about the meeting.
His mother doesn't
He feels himself crunched into a ball, his forehead against the flooring, he really didn't want to put his girlfriend into the position of torture.
So, he sucked it up and thought of an alternative.
-
His conclusion?
Talking to his girlfriend, so he was headed off. Only to be meet with a kneeled down Youngmi at his doorstep.
She looked up, her hair was still in those two loose braids, but now she had on a dress and high platform shoes, her signature tote bag with a lotus flower embroidered on it thrown over her shoulder.
