This is a story about How Everest Evans, a gloomy twenty year old college student, and a forever nineteen year old ghost meet in the Morgue where she works. Together they set a goal to figure out the mystery of the ghost's death, as he cant seem to remember much of anything including his own name. Along the way they form a bond that goes far past what friendship normally would. Though there wasn't really anything normal about their whole situation in The first place. Boundaries are broken and feelings are established, but the complications of falling for a dead man are something the Everest will have to overcome if she wants to remain comfortable in this bizarre relationship. i stumbled across a post on instagram where someone was talking about really dark eyes - not ones that have flecks of gold in them🙄 - and how they wanted more of them in stories, so i was inspired. this is a friends-to-lovers one shot, and i hope you enjoy it!:)

His steely grey eyes seemed to pierce my soul. His lips pressed together in a thin line. The dark alleyway was dimly lit by the half cracked streetlight close to us. As the raindrops continued to fall on us, he continued giving me that look full of disgust. My back was pressed to the graffiti covered wall. My short white dress was covered in vodka and all sorts of alcoholic substances. "I want you dead." he said in a low growl. His hands pushed my wet hair behind and then gripped my waist and crushed it against his hip. I giggled, "No, you don't, you idiot." I shook my head and proceeded to land my wet lips on to his and allowed the sparks to do the rest. As all this happened, all I could think about was: THIS IS ALL SO CLICHÉ! * And so began an adventure. Him, me and his four enemies. Travelling the world only to explore, eat and live-- minus the explore part of it. Learning secrets, listening to drunk/almost sober rants, and an unhealthy amount of annoyed eye-rolls. And as if that wasn't enough, now they want to throw a party! Exactly the kind of thing someone who's basically being hunted down would come up with! Just perfect!
