Chapter 7: The War Begins

The United States, Soviet Union, Independent Balkan Kingdoms, and Singapore were getting ready to fight, when a ton more people arrived. First they noticed a three colored flag flying with an Iron Cross in the top left corner.  Germans. No one had invited them, so it must mean that Shiho had met with them secretly.

Currently, everyone was sitting in trenches, getting ready for a fight to begin.

With the Yugoslavs (Serbs, Croats, Slovenians, Bosnians, Macedonians, everyone that made up Yugoslavia)

Filip was creating plans, when a person came and over said, "Војводе Цветковићу, ја сам мајор Љубиша Савић. (Field Marshal Cvetković, I'm major Ljubiśa Savić.)" Filip asked, "Знаћи ти си онај кога зову Маузер. (So you're the one they call Mauzer.)" Ljubiša replied, "ДА господине војводе. (Yes, field marshal.)" Filip asked him, "Чујем да имаш елитну групу војника. Да ли је то истина? (I hear that you have an elite group of soldiers. Is that true?)" Ljubiša answered, "Истина је господине војводе. Зову се Специјална бригада Гарда Пантери. (It's true field marshal. They're called the Specijalna Brigade Garda Panteri.)"

Filip nodded and told him, "Чекајте за  ваша наређења. (Wait for your orders.)" Ljubiša nodded, and went back to his men. Filip saw Tommy Jones running g over to him. Filip asked, "Private Jones. To what do I owe your visit today?" Tommy said, "News from the Balkan capitals. Every commander of the former Yugoslav forces needs to hear it."

Filo got all of the commanders from the former SFR Yugoslavia together  and Tommy gave the news.

"The Balkan monarchies don't want to rule their countries. The people want their countries to remain communist. The new leaders are also giving you all orders to fight as Croatians, Serbians, Bosnians, etc, and under the flag of your Nationality."

Stobrojski said, "We'll fight under the flags of our nationalities, but we won't fight as Serbs, Croats, or Bosnians." Brujić said, "I agree. We came into this war as Yugoslavs, and by God will fight it as Yugoslavs. Those politicians don't know what we have to go through. We have a bond stronger than brotherhood. We have a bond of blood forged through the baptism of fire."

Bogdan told Tommy, "Tell the ploticians that is they have a problem with that, they can go fuck themselves in hell, and come to talk to us personally on the frontlines. Maybe then, they can learn of our struggles."

Tommy looked at Filip and he told him, "Send them a telegram stating all of that  and prepare for combat." Tommy saluted and said, "Yes sir." Filip turned around and told the rest of the commanders, "Спремите ваше војнике за бој. Ускоро ћу да наредим напад. (Prepare you soldiers for battle. I'm going to order an attack soon.)"

The commanders nodded and left to prepare their men, and give them their orders.

With the Soviets

Dimitri was sitting in an office smoking a cigar and filling out paperwork. A soldier walked in and said, "Товарищ генерал Влашенков, мы получили известие с сербской линии. (Comrade General Vlashenkov, we received news from the Serbian line.)" Dimitri asked, "Какие новости мы получили? (What news did we receive?)"

The soldier told him, "Генерал Цветкович собирается отдать приказ об атаке в ближайшее время. Как он это сделает, мы не знаем. Единственная информация, которую мы получили, заключается в том, что будет отдан приказ о балканском наступлении на противника. (General Cvetković is going to order an attack soon. How he will do it, we do not know. The only information that we received is that a Balkan attack will be ordered on the enemy.)" Dimitri nodded and said, "Спасиба. (Thank you.)" The soldier saluted an left.
