Delilah was skipping along the sidewalk as they got closer. She had to admit, she did take living in New York for granted sometimes. People come from all over the world to see places she normally overlooked. The Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller center; she'd lost count of how many times she'd visited such famous locations.

However, there was one place in New York that never failed to impress her.

Times Square.

As soon as Wilbur had suggested visiting it, she'd shoved him out the door and dragged him down the street.

Now, she knew he was thirty seconds away from seeing the most amazing thing he could ever imagine.

Delilah grabbed Wilbur's hand and turned a sharp corner. Her strides slowed, and she freed his hand from her grip; allowing him to take it all in.

She watched as his eyes lit up and his jaw dropped.

"Amazing, isn't it?" She said, taking a minute to watch the colourful signs herself.

"It's a lot... brighter in person," Wilbur laughed. Delilah turned to him and smiled.

"Look! There's Corpse's billboard," Wilbur pointed at a tall billboard to the right.

"This would be such a cool place to play Minecraft. I mean, imagine playing in Times Square." Delilah said.

"Really? We're in one of the most famous spots in the world and you're thinking about Minecraft?" Wilbur laughed. Delilah turned and gently smacked him on the arm.

"You know you agree," She said, visibly slightly embarrassed.

"Come on, let's go get a hot drink." She added, heading off through the crowd of people towards a cafe on the side of the street.

Wilbur quickly followed after taking one last look at the dazzling billboards.

"What should we do tonight?" Delilah asked, sipping from her large mug of Chai latte.

When Wilbur didn't respond, she nudged his shoulder and asked again.

"Oh... well, why don't we just stay at your apartment?" He responded.

"What? Wilbur, you're here in New York, I still have so much to show y-"

"Yes, but It'll be freezing-"

"You can put on extra layers!"

"I'd much rather stay in, watch a movie or something."

"You're boring."

Wilbur's jaw dropped and he stared at Delilah.

"What?!" He scoffed, a smile playing at his lips.

"I'm joking," Delilah giggled.

"But fine, if that's what you wanna do, we can just stay in." She smiled at Wilbur.

He smiled back, then brung his mug up to his face and sipped on his hot chocolate for a long time. He couldn't let Delilah see his look of relief.

By the time the sun had sunk below the horizon, Wilbur's feet were aching from being dragged around New York. Admittedly, the places Delilah took him were beautiful, however, his mind had been racing thinking about his plan.

It had been all his idea; if it didn't go well, it would be him to blame.

He prayed Delilah hadn't grown suspicious of the amount of time he'd spent taking calls today. He'd used a lame excuse of 'The studio needed some info'.

Thank god she hadn't realised he recorded his own music.

Enjoying New York was difficult when he was so stressed about things going smoothly.

A/N!! Just a little bit of Delilah & Wilbur's interesting friendship. I wonder what he's planning? ;)
