At one in the morning, everybody was chilling out in the living room, along with a few casual Mario Kart games running on the TV for those that were awake enough. Delilah was sitting between Niki and Quackity on the enormous grey sofa that just managed to fit everyone. Her new socks that Karl had bought her, white with pink polka dots, kept her toes nice and warm, as the cold air of New York seemed to find its way into even the most well-heated houses.
She smiled to herself, finally taking a moment to appreciate this surprise. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined spending such quality time with people that really cared for her.
She looked over Niki's shoulder to see George struggling to keep his eyes open. Dream, Sapnap and her had crept into his bedroom and woken him up from a deep sleep. He had arrived not long after she and Wilbur had gone back to her apartment. According to Dream, he'd greeted everyone, complained about his long flight, and gone off to bed.
The man does love his sleep.
She switched her attention back to the TV when Tommy began screaming at Wilbur.
"YOU FUCKING MORON! THAT ISN'T FAIR,"
"Tommy, calm yourself;" Wilbur said calmly, trying to suppress a laugh.
"I WILL DESTROY YOU BITCH"
Delilah giggled, watching as Wilbur completed his second lap, closely followed by Tommy.
"Is there a dairy nearby? I want monster with my breakfast tomorrow." Karl said.
"I'm sorry, come again?" Quackity asked.
"Karl, I think your monster obsession is unhealthy." Said Sapnap.
"Sapnap, I think your lack of bitches is unhealthy," Tommy replied.
Everyone burst out with laughter, and after finally calming down, Karl asked again.
"But really, where can I get monster around here?"
"A few of us will go to the supermarket in the morning. Start a list if you want, Karl, everyone can add to it." Said Wilbur.
Wilbur seemed to almost have the next fortnight entirely planned out. He'd told Delilah that Twitch had reached out almost a month ago, offering a meet up for some of the SMP. Aparently, they had something exciting coming up, and wanted all the biggest streamers on the platform to be in New York. Delilah was confused by this, but didn't question it.
After many more Mario kart races, people began clearing off for bed. Delilah was awfully over-tired, and although she wanted to stay awake all night to be with her friends, her body called for sleep.
"I think I'm gonna go to bed now." She said, yawning.
"Night, Delilah!"
"Good night, sweet dreams."
"See ya."
Delilah smiled and slowly walked out of the living room, towards the entry hall where her suitcase was.
"Off to bed?"
Dream was looking at her from the kitchen, leaning against the dark benchtop. He'd changed out of the clothes Delilah had met him in, and was now clad in black sweatpants and an oversized top.
"Yeah," She said. "Sorry I'm unable to bless you with my presence anymore. My bed calls for me." She smirked.
Dream laughed and reached for a glass from an overhead cupboard. Delilah stared as the sleeve of his shirt slipped down, revealing tan skin, and rather toned muscles.
She coughed and looked away, scolding herself for looking at her friend in such a way. She waited until she'd heard him fill his glass before looking at him again.
"I'll see you in the morning then." She said quietly.
"Do you need help with your suitcase?" Dream asked, downing the glass of water in one sip.
"I- yeah, that would be great."
He ducked his head as he left the kitchen, striding over towards Delilah with one hand in his pocket. They walked to the entry hall, where Dream took her suitcase and Delilah took a small bag she had also brung.
After trudging up the never-ending staircase, they entered a long hallway. It was dark and narrow, only illuminated by moonlight shining through a large window at the end of the hall.
"My room's in there," Dream whispered, pointing to the second door they passed. "In case you miss me."
Delilah scoffed and rolled her eyes. Dream led them to the very end of the hallway and entered the last room on their left.
She followed and looked around the room as Dream turned on the lights. It was a rather large room. On the right side was a floor-to-ceiling window with mesh curtains, which overlooked the back garden. On the far wall was a double bed with a velvet headboard. There was a desk, a wardrobe, a white rug, and a mirror with elegant golden frames in the corner.
"Wow," Delilah whispered.
Dream left her suitcase in front of the wardrobe and walked sowly over to the window.
She made her way over to stand beside him, admiring the view. Large trees strung with yellow lights, shaped hedges, a pool, and a circular table with a black umbrella shade.
"It's beautiful here." She said.
"Yeah. You've definitely got the best view from your room," Dream smiled. "I'll leave you to sleep, you're probably exhausted."
"Thanks." Delilah said, smiling back as Dream walked towards the door.
"Goodnight, Delilah."
"Goodnight Clay."
