You make me happy, do you know that?" You remarked, sitting next to them. "I know but.. y/n you can't keep relying on someone who doesn't even exist." They sigh, looking away."You're real to me! You breathe, that's good enough." You frown, clearly confused about what they were talking about. They take your hands in theirs and stare into your eyes. You stare back, of course, except something felt off."Y/n, can you promise me something?" You can hear the sadness in their voice."Anything!" You smile, not hesitating."I won't be here much longer," they pause for a second, studying your face. "Just promise me you'll move on." "How can you just tell me to move on when all I want is you?" You reply uneasily. They say nothing, instead choosing to stand up. You're on a beach, the only light coming from the moon. You tilt your head slightly, wondering what they were planning to do. A few seconds pass, but you swear it had been at least 10 minutes. They reach out their hand, not doing anything else. The gesture would have probably been confusing, but it was as familiar as moving for you. You laugh, and they smile. Getting up, you pull them in close and start dancing. Your dancing isn't the best, and neither is theirs, but the fact you were dancing under the moonlight with them makes you forget everything else. There couldn't be another happy ending, with anyone else you cling to their shirt, following their movements. As long as you were there, with them, you could face anything, both of you. A small part of your brain knew you didn't have much time, but you chose to ignore it then. You let yourself close your eyes, swaying side to side.

Maybe you can rest now, without another worry in the world.
