I look to the open blue
thoughts keep rushing to you

my eyes glued to sky
I sprout wings and start to fly

until I'm soaring through
this maze of what could be true

and even though there's no wall
I can't see far, I begin to fall

in defeat, down to the ground
just slumped in a lazy mound

but something drives me
perhaps the search for glee

I look up and am floored
no one nailed to two boards

just the truth plain and simple
loves got smiles and dimples

I see that graceful love isn't up high
too holy and full of godly might

it's down here between we
the warmth of you and warmth of me

brought close and lovingly
and I can tell
there's no other way of being
