The servant quietly led Star to the womens' quarters. The room in which star was shown into was small, but much bigger than her room back at the orphanage was. Star thanked the servant girl and turned around and had a look around the room. It was a rectangular room, with a bed on one side, a simple desk and chair next to it, and a closet opposite the bed, next to the door.

Star spotted something on the bed, it was an outfit. Star walked over and looked at it. It was a beautiful uniform. Star looked around and hurriedly put it on. She then walked over to the closet and looked at the mirror. She was gorgeous. The uniform consisted of a thigh-length black leather skirt, a black chain-like belt, a red half-sleeved shirt with a black tie, black fishnet leggings, and glossy black work heels. She grinned at herself in the mirror, damn she looked good.

Suddenly there was a loud commotion outside her room. Without pausing to use her head, Star yanked the door open and stepped outside her room. There were three cloaked men outside her room. One of them reached out and grabbed Star's hand. His grip was like steel.

"She's got a strong base." He commented. Star shivered, fear and confusion clouded her mind. She tried to pull her hand back, but the man yanked her hand, and she stumbled into his arms. Before she could do anything, an odd-smelling cloth was stuffed under her nose. The cloth's scent made her dizzy, and she fainted.

When Star regained her consciousness, she was in a circular chamber, with red tiles. A fox sat in the middle of the chamber patiently waiting. The fox had white and red fur. His eyes were a beautiful red. He was no ordinary animal. Star stared at the fox.

"You seem to have decided to wake up." The fox stated looking at her.

 "Who....?"

"To answer your question. I am a fox spirit. A kitsune if you may. And I am called Axis."

"F-fox spirit....y-you mean like the b-book....?" Star stuttered.

The fox tilted his head in acknowledgment, "you were brought here to become my contractor i suppose. I smell some powerful energy coming from you."

"The people who kidnapped me were bad guys?"

"No, quite the opposite actually. The people who brought you here are the Prince's Shadows."

".........will they harm me..?" Star asked, a little scared.

 "That depends on you."

"What if I accept being your contractor..?" Star suddenly asked.

The fox stared at her, then he suddenly laughed, "that may not be possible. Most of the people who were chosen were not able to survive the seal."

"But I'm not them." Star replied, now why had she said that?

 The fox stared at her.

"I can see that." He muttered, "very well. I'll allow you to attempt the trial."

Star approached the fox and sat in front of him.

"Let us begin. We will have to perform a blood contract."

Star nodded and took out her father's knife. She cut her wrist, wincing a little. The fox bent down and licked the blood off her hand. Star braced herself as wave after wave of pain flowed throughout her body.

A soft red light started emitting from the fox. Soon the light spread until it covered Star as well. A small seal appeared, floating in the air glowing dimly. The seal was a crimson Phoenix with a white outline of symbols. The seal lazily floated towards Star and burned itself onto the skin of her lower neck.
