~A Night To Remember~ (Raven x Beast Boy Fanfic)

• {Chapter 5} •

Raven had woken up to a bright sunny day just outside the tower. The sun felt nice on her skin and she enjoyed its warmth. She bathed in it until she remembered what happened last night and quickly realized that Beast Boy still laying on top of her. He was just staring at her for some reason.

It caught her off guard and made her blush as a result. He didn't look bothered by the fact that they were cuddling though.

The two just stared at each other as the seconds turned into what felt like minutes. They did this for a while before Beast Boy broke the silence.

"U-um, hey Raven!" he said with an awkward smile.

"Oh, hey..." Raven quietly replied, "Are you ok? You seemed pretty out of it last night."

"Oh jeez! I am so sorry that we're like this right now! I didn't do anything to you right!? Please don't be mad! I wasn't myself!" Beast Boy rambled.

"Beasty, it's ok. You only wanted to cuddle me for some reason." Raven interupted.

Beast Boy only blushed a bright pink hearing the nick name Raven had called him. It made her explanation more sincere in a way.

"Beasty...?" he questioned, "Is that your nick name for me now?"

He then gave her his usual toothy grin which made Raven look away in embarrassment as she realized what she had said.

She reluctantly agreed on using the name and they continued to stare at each other once more. Beast Boy again stared intently; finally noticing that she didn't have her hood on like she normally would. It surprised him.

He thought she looked really cute like that. Only about two years ago she wouldn't even let him touch her for more than 10 seconds so that was a sight for sore eyes.

"So why did I want cuddles exactly?" Beast Boy asked.

I'm not sure but you were pretty persistent about getting them. I was the only one around so you wouldn't really  leave me alone..." Raven replied.

"Again, sorry about that! I hope you weren't doing anything important before we all got home." Beast Boy apologized.

"It's fine. You seemed really sad though so I didn't see any problem saying no" Raven said.

"Thanks for that! It's really nice to talk to you like this! You're loosening up!" Beast Boy stated cheerfully.

Raven slightly smiled at the statement and hoped that her other team mates noticed that she was opening up to them as well. It made her feel like she had finally managed to change in some way.

"Hey Beasty...?" Raven murmured, "C-can we stay like this a little longer? It feels... ok I guess"

Beast Boy only looked at her in surprise at the question.

*Does it really feel nice to her? Would she actually like to stay close to me or does this just comfort her? What is going onnnn?* Beast thought.

But questioning it no further, he wrapped his arms around her again and hugged her tight.

"Sure Rae! If it feels ok to you!" He said happily.

Raven then wrapped her hands around his neck and head and pulled him closer to her. His hair felt softer than expected and she pressed her face into it.

Beast Boy had grown up so much... At least in one way or another. It was hard to believe that he was once the smallest Titan in the team. He now towered over her but he was still his goofy old self on the inside. Raven quietly chuckled to herself thinking about it.

Beast Boy heard this chuckle and couldn't help but squeeze her tighter as she sounded so adorable. All he wanted was her touch in the moment.

They then cuddled for some time before they heard foot steps coming from the hallway. It was the other Titans waking up. Raven quickly checked the time.

*It's already one pm!?* she thought.

It looks like their cuddle session would have to be cut short for now...
