Aatrox's story he was the champion of shurima that was chosen to be its avatar once he became an Ascended/God he have golden wings and an armor sparkling like constellation, he was respected even other god warrior follows him, Then there was the war against the void it lasted for years for them to close the biggest void rift countless of people and ascended died this also affected them a lot after that when the king of shurima Azir was about to do the ascension he was betrayed and killed by Xerath, now without a king a leader the ascended didn't really know what to do so they claim lands and fought against each other making mortals fear and run from them even giving them a new name called Darkin's because of this the actual Aspect of war Pantheon, and the past Aspect of Twilight (not Zoe) trained and taught people how to kill and capture them
When they did Aatrox was trap in his weapon that he always bring, it was dark he felt that he was suffocating, he cannot breathe,move,see,or hear and this lasted for centuries until he felt a human near by and grab the sword Aatrox felt the man's consciousness so he grab it and drag him to the darkness immediately killing and taking control of the man, then he tried breaking the blade to return his former glory or to die at least but to no avail so he kinda become insane and think if he made a very huge war where everyone and everything died maybe he may cease to exist as well ( its kinda sad he just want to die and him having a false hope )(unlike a Olaf a strong viking that wants to have an honorable death from battle but fated to die of old age XD)
