It was 9:30am and I was in my boyfriends room, just finishing getting dressed. I'd thrown on a hoodie and a pair of leggings. Then I went downstairs, joining my boyfriend in his kitchen.
"Morning, beautiful." He smiled upon seeing me, looking up from pouring his drink.
"Morning." I chuckled lightly, never getting used to the nickname. "Whatcha been up to?" I asked him, moving over to him. I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him from the side.
"Not much, actually. Not long got off the phone to Jack. He wants to come over and hang out here today. That cool with you?" He checked with me as I pulled away from the hug to grab a glass.
"No, Corbyn. Our friend cannot come over to your house." I said sarcastically. He laughed at me, as I poured my drink. "It's fine with me." I said as he smiled, also smiling and finally giving him an answer.
"Alright, I'll let him know." He said as he picked up his phone and messaged Jack. Then walking over to me by the counter. Standing behind me, he wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his head on my shoulder as he embraced me. He kissed my shoulder and then the crook of my neck as I giggled at him. We stayed like that for a little while, then my phone rang. I picked it up off the counter and answered it, Corbyn still wrapped around me. The name showed a friend of Jonah's, who I recently met at a party here and was becoming friends with. Scott's name was on the screen and I heard Corbyn give out a huff, knowing he's not a big fan of his.
"Hi Scott, everything okay?" I greeted him."Yeah I'm good thanks. I've been trying to talk to Jonah but he's not picking up...tried calling him like three times." Scott said.
"Oh, I don't actually know what he's doing." I turned my head slightly to Corbyn. "Do you?" I asked him.
"Yeah, he's working out so...probably doesn't wanna be disturbed." He said. I glared at him, knowing that he was saying it passive aggressively towards Scott. I partially relayed the information through the phone about Jonah working out, then Scott continued.
"Anyway, I was just wanted to ask him if I could come over and pick up the thing he borrowed..." Scott continued. I heard Corbyn mumble something, being so close to my ear.
"Oh fucks sake. The thing? There is no thi-"
"Corbyn." I said bluntly, then returning to Scott. "I'll go find him and ask." I went break out of Corbyn's hold, but he didn't budge in objection to me trailing off to find Jonah.
"No no. It's fine. He can come get whatever it is." He said, not happy with the fact Scott was now coming over. I smiled at him and mouthed 'thank you'.
"Scott, did you hear that?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I'm on my way. Thanks guys." He said, then hanging up. I placed my phone back on the table. Corbyn loosened his arms from round my waist, then slowly spinning me to face him as he intertwined our fingers.
"So we get to see Scott? Yay." He said sarcastically. I chuckled at him.
"What's your problem with him? I thought you got along before...thought you and Jonah are friends with him."
"Jonah is friends with him. I just 'know' him." He emphasised the fact that they weren't particularly friends.
"Okay. Still, what's your problem with him? I don't remember ever hearing about a friend of Jonah's that you didn't like...that you turn into a big kid over." I joked, as he laughed while playing with my fingers.
"I never had a problem with him until..."
"Until what?" I urged.
"Well, until he started crushing on my girlfriend and flirting with her a-and calling her up." He said lightly kidding, but still obvious that it was bothering him. I removed my hand from his and took a step back, surprised at him.
