"Sara, I'm not sure if this is going to be a good idea" Clarity said as she fiddled with her dress for the umpteenth time. "I should go back to the ship, just say I got sick or-or drained from fighting some metahuman."

"Clarity, stop fussing

"Clarity, stop fussing. I'm not lying to my parents. I know your nervous, but they're going to love you." Sara assured her grabbing her hands so she would stop messing with her dress.

"But what if they don't like meta humans!? Or worse what if they don't like blue!?" Clarity panicked making Sara laugh and shake her head.

"Clarity." Sara said trying to keep her serious face on but she was really struggling with how cute and worried Clarity was being.

"Yes..?" Clarity asked biting her lip as Sara squeezed her hands.

"It's just my family. They all like blue just not as much as you, they already know you're a metahuman and they're fine with it, you've met my sister before-"

"Yeah and she hates me!" Clarity interrupted.

"Clarity, please just relax. Your a lot better then the last woman I brought home. Just trust me okay?" Sara urged.

Clarity bit her lip and nodded letting out a breath. "Okay, But don't say I didn't warn you" Clarity told her.

"Fair enough. Now no more stalling time to meet my family Pachirisu" Sara said knocking on the door. Laurel opened it. She smiled at Sara instantly pulling her sister into a hug. Once Laurel released Sara she and Clarity exchanged an awkward nod at one another.

"You brought Clarity." was the first thing Laurel said.

"Yes I did. Cmon Pachirisu you need to meet the rents. Ignore the sibling. She's not dating anyone right now so she's a little bitter." Sara grinned tugging Clarity into Laurels apartment. Laurel rolled her eyes with a huff and shut the door. She looked at Clarity eyeing her up and down as Sara lead her around to the dining room. What the hell was Clarity wearing? And what in God's name was on her head?

"Dad!" Sara said with a wave making Quentin look up from the table as he set the food down on it.

"There's my baby girl!" Quentin exclaimed rushing over giving her a tight hug. Seeing Sara hugging her dad made Clarity smile. She loved seeing Sara happy. Once they pulled apart Quentin set his sights on Clarity.

"Uh....hi...again...Mr. Lance" Clarity said.

"Wait....you've met him before?" Sara asked turning to Clarity confused.

"Yeah, we have. You still hacking into places?" Quentin asked.

"You know what they say! Hobbits die hard." Clarity shrugged then furrowed her brow.

"Wait...that's not right....." Clarity said her eyebrows furrowing.

"You mean habits die hard" Laurel said walking past carrying a bottle of wine with an eye roll.

"Mhm yeah that...habits! Totally what I meant. Bad habits good habits lots of habits...." Clarity rambled looking at Sara pleadingly cause she couldn't shut up.

"Okay! Dad how's dinner coming along?" Sara questioned placing her hands on Clarity's shoulders squeezing them.

"Great except I can't get these damned candles to light." Quentin complained gesturing to the four candles placed on the table.

"Pachirisu you wanna help my dad with that?" Sara asked hands sliding down to hold Clarity's hands making her giggle.

"Okay" Clarity told her. She skipped over to the table.

"1" Clarity said a spark flying from her left pointer finger at the left most candle lighting it.

"2" Clarity said a spark flying from her right hand to the second candle on the right.

"3" Clarity said a spark flying from her left pointer finger once again.

"Glitch!" Clarity said lightning the last candle.

Quentin blinked. "What else can she do?" He questioned Sara.

"Well personal phone charger for one" Sara said sitting Clarity down next to her.

"Your kidding" Quentin said in disbelief.

"Nope, Laurel I'm sure your phone's dead isn't it?" Sara questioned.

Laurel tossed her phone at Clarity the only thing saving it from falling in the wine glass being Sara's fast reflexes.

"Thanks sis," Sara said with a tight smile passing the phone to Clarity.

Clarity held the phone screen facing Quentin and the man watched amazed as the bar read 100 percent.

"Shocking isn't it?" Sara questioned making Clarity giggle.

"Best thing I've seen in a while" Quentin answered. He gave Sara a nod. He so approved of her dating Clarity.
