"Hey. We need to talk." Sara told Ava as she walked into the room.

"No good conversation ever started that way." Ava frowned back at her not liking where this was going at all.

"Ava, I'm sorry." Sara started, but Ava was quick to say her side before Sara could continue.

"Listen, I can't pretend to understand
what you went through or... or what happened
to you, but I know that wasn't you, Sara." Ava assured her. Sara's earlier conversation with Clarity swirled around in her head.

"You don't have to apologize, Sara. Being a killer is part of who you are as awful as that sounds, I mean what I'm trying to say is you're an assassin but none of that makes you a monster or a bad person. At least not to me it doesn't. Sometimes good people do bad things because they think it's for the right reasons at the time and eventually they look back and realize how wrong they were. There's darkness in you, I know that, but I also know there's light too."

"That's just it. That was me. Just like fire is to Rory, there is part of me that...it's always been there. And I really tried to pretend that that wasn't true. But deep down, I am death."

"No... Sara, okay, so we can fight that part of you together," Ava insisted. "just tell me what to do."

"Sara," Clarity's words rang in Sara's head. "Death is just a piece of you, but it's not all of you and who said it had to be such a bad part anyways? Sure killings wrong, I certainly don't condone it, but ever since you became the white canary haven't you been using those deadly skills of yours to protect people, time the world, the team.." Clarity hesitated. "...me?

"Hey. Ava, you read my file." Sara told her, she couldn't help but think Clarity hadn't had to read any files.

"But I still showed up at that restaurant, in that horribly uncomfortable dress trying to impress you because I don't care about your past, Sara." Ava protested.

"Well, maybe you should." Sara told her, the more Ava talked Sara couldn't help thinking that Clarity wouldn't have dressed just to impress her, she'd have dressed for herself so she was comfortable, some bright blue dress that'd take her breath away when she saw her. All to make a statement and show who she was.  Show Sara that she did care about what she'd been through in the past, but accept her for it anyways. There was some part of Sara that found that far more attractive for whatever reason.

"You are wonderful." Sara told Ava, but thoughts of Clarity were still running rampant through her mind. Her smile, the way she'd her face would light up when she was excited how her eyes would glow. "And I...and I've never been this happy in my life."

"But this doesn't look happy." Ava protested.

"Because...your not the one who makes me that happy." Sara admitted, "Look, I don't deserve you."

"Yes, Sara, yes, you do." Ava protested interrupting her.

"No, Ava, I don't because you deserve better, you deserve so much better. You deserve someone who loves you." Sara told her. "And I care about you, but...I'm not gonna do this. I won't. It's not fair to anyone."

"Sara." Ava protested her heart just completely broken.

"I'm sorry," Sara told her, "but I love Clarity."
